@Leon E. The march is known in Finland by the name "Suomi-marssi". It was composed in 1837 by Erik Wilhelm Eriksson from the Finnish Guard band. It gained popularity when it was played later in that year in a Finnish Guard & Russian Imperial Guard joint military exercise in Krasnoye Selo near St. Petersburg, and the Russian Emperor Nicholas I wanted to present the march to Friedrich Wilhelm III of Prussia as a gift. The march was thereafter added to the official list of marches of the Prussian military. Nowadays Suomi-marssi / Marsch aus Petersburg is the official march of the Guard's Battalion based in Helsinki.

The Finnish military strength is awesome, but one thing we have yet to learn is... marching. I just cringe when I look at our troops marching in a parade
They are trained to fight and well equipped marching is important too. Look how well the Russians match on the Red square and how badly they fight - which would you prefer 😊 ? We all prefer peace !
Дурачье. Было Финское правительство. Которое занималось своими гражданами. А сейчас оно легло под коллективный запад. И не занимается своими гражданами. Через пару лет будет кусать локти.
