Do you know how many Saftey men are on them jobs, put your hard hat on wear your safety specks that’s it they never stop a job and the get out of jail card is we are only SAFTEY ADVISORS not accountable to the Law.
I'm reading through these comments and agree that personal safety is the main priority in these situations, but damn... that man without a respirator died a hero. It's true that he failed to ensure his own safety and that costed him his life (or whoever directed him to go down there without a respirator) but that doesn't take away his initiative and the lengths he went to try to save a life. A hero. Please remember to wear PPE everyone, it's easy to forget about ourselves when rescuing, but we can't rescue if we don't first protect ourselves. Thanks for sharing (from a nurse).
I remember my dad telling me of a well that was being dug back in the 1930s or so. They were down about 80 feet. The two men down there went lifeless. They sent a man to go check on them and then of course, he went lifeless. History keeps repeating itself. Ppl never learn. Seems the only guy that survived here was the guy wearing the SCBA.
This is communist propaganda. Yes, the video is accurate. And certainly, precautions need to be taken on the job site. But when you watch this video, note that there’s no context. That matters because statistically, factory work and construction isn’t very dangerous. There are several other occupations which are more dangerous, such as taxi driver, high school teacher, and plumber. But the objective of communists is to control the entire economy. So they use workplace accidents to claim that only strict government control can ensure safety. That control will be total surveillance. If you are unfortunate enough to drive a Mack Truck, the truck will sign-in to your Google account, and then link driver controls to your psychological profile. So if you accelerate or brake too hard, those small crimes will go in your file. And those are real crimes.
@@cicakaki6587 I would show you the driver input data, but it doesn’t seem to be available. www.google.com/search?q=%22commercial+truck+driver+inputs%22&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&hl=en-us&client=safari
@jamescaliendo1030 H2S = hydrogen sulfide gas. Major workplace hazard for certain jobs and you need a respirator if you're working around it. At high concentrations one breath will kill you without a respirator.
It has a few different sources but in this video it's likely from decomposition of high sulfur organic material below the construction area. It's called different things and 'sewer gas' is one name. In the oil & gas industry it's often called 'sour gas.' It's heavier than air an will concentrate in low lying areas.
@@seanwatts8342 i work in the steel industry by the coking plant, we produce h2s as a byproduct and make sulphuric acid out of it we just call it h2s or hydrogen sulfide, you learn to take deep breaths working around this shit
wow so the Derrickhand is now called the AD in Aus hey? Really nice to see how there's little use to having someone up in the derricks (sometimes upwards of 100ft)
I have a question regarding the use of a spreader bar, my teacher is asking what is the static tilt of the spreader bar when the load is disconnected at the padeyes, do you know what did he mean when asking for static tilt?
