Watching this after Reita's departure from this world hits hard, they were the band that introduced me to vkei, I loved metalcore, nu metal and deathcore for years already but I fell for The Gazette, even though I slowly started to listen to other vkei bands they are still my one and only favorite, their music is deep, aggressive and at the same time beautiful and heartbreaking, the balance between all of them shows and you can see how much they love music, I will forever miss and yearn for Reita and for the band to be complete, no words can express his absence, still I'm thankful they want to keep their promise to Reita, that The Gazette will live forever, I hope more people finds them and falls in love, I can't believe that when they came to CDMX I was about to find out about them 3 months later.
Mikio Fujioka is what made BabyMetal blow up in the US-the smile on his face during the intro of Catch Me if You Can YT video. And he had already left to play with Holdsworth by the time most people had seen it.
Whenever Akatsuki has been peformed these last four years, Chris and CJ didn't deliver that two guitar solo out in the spotlight as Mikio and Takeyoshi would have done. While nailing the solo without any flaws, they were kept in the shadows, hidden under masks like they were wild animals or worse. The Western Kamis with their reliable performance were instrumental in keeping the act together during difficult times, but somehow do not get the recognition they deserve. A great injustice is done to them. Has the Fox God not taught us to shout "Justice", forever? [Road To Resistance] So here's my demand: #FreeTheKamis Let us see their faces again.
The Western KAMI BAND we're not instrumental in keeping babymetal together They would have stayed together regardless who the backing band is behind them do you not understand that
Rest in Wonderful, star-filled peace Mikio. You are missed...by your family,, your friends...your bandmates and all of your fans ....and ME more than I can put into words. I Literally cried for days 😢 such an amazing artist
Isamu Takita is underrated. If you want more of him, then watch ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-W0Mky4hq6bo.htmlsi=7BEeODEV9WirBy27 or any GRANRODEO concert.
My favs were at the top 2. Even introduced my hardcore Queenies to HYDE (L'Arc-en-Ciel) and XJapan. Japan has amazing talent that needs to be known by the rest of the world. Thanks!
The GazettE really are amazing. I started listening to their music in 2019 and also went to their concert in Cologne, Germany in the same year. It's been 4 years, the memories from this day are still so vibrant as if they were from last week, and I wish I could see them perform again. I haven't listened to any of their songs since 2021 because I got into other music genres as well and life just decided to move along and I had to go with it. But I've started getting back into the fandom this summer, started downloading a bunch of their songs which I remembered to be my favorite, and I immediately felt like I just came back home. I think what makes a good musician/band is that you can stop listening to their music, come back years later and just feel happy the exact moment you hear the song start. I am so thankful to them, they've accompanied me through the most beautiful period of my life and I don't think I'd be where I am today, if it wasn't for them. If I can ever afford it, I will go to Japan to see them again, unless they go on another world tour before that happens, which I sincerely hope they do.
I only found Babymetal in 2023, it seems I've been living under a stone. For me this was very helpful in piecing together the early story, thank you 😊❤🤘🏻🦊🤘🏻
thank you so much for the explanation video!! despite being their fan since I was 14 years old (that was 13 years ago), I don't think my words about them will ever do them justice. this is an ode to the GazettE imo. may their well earned popularity will sustain forever.
none of the 3 of them knew what metal was? so all that stuff about metallica being their heroes, and other bands was a lie.i i bet metallica was koba s favourite band not the girls.
They met Metallica a long time ago, and many other metal performers. Metallica may really be their favorite metal band, but I doubt that metal is their favorite music. Which is fine. I imagine they probably listen to pop/dance music when they are on their own time, they worked hard to become pop idols at a young age after all. If not for Kobametal choosing them to start Babymetal, the girls may have never listened to any metal. They can all sing and dance, they might have made it as pop idols instead, but since Babymetal was successful, they just went with that instead. There is a lot of competition to be a pop idol...there was only one Babymetal.
