Man I remember I talked to this dude who was my roommate a few months ago. I forgot how it all started but I was like, yea we're put here to help eachother, to motivate eachother. He was like "nah we play for keeps" i was like "huh." He repeated what he said. I said "bruh we're here to motivate eachother, cause if not how you expect this world to grow." He wasnt budging. I then said "soooooo you have something you love and are passionate about he said "yea." I said "whatchu gon keep it in the dark and not show anybody" he said some bullshyt. I then told him "bro a lot of times you'll motivate somebody without knowing" I said, "What about the youth?" He kept saying "we playin for keeps." I told man you stingy" and then in my head im like "this dude slow as hell." Its sad but its ppl out here that never had a dream and if they did have one their dreams got killed because the person who they listened too dreams got killed. So sad.
I still remember the red Honda CBR motorbike of the neighbor when I was a kid. Got inspired that one day I must get a motorbike. Now I got mine, and during my travels nowadays, I always try to inspire the next generation bikers when I have chances.
Thats exactly what got me in the car scene! I saw the nicest 5th gen prelude back when they were brand new, saw one with a full body kit, wing, underglow, all the early 2000s stuff. And i just stared like this young man.
Man this hits home so fucking hard. Crying. I remember when the F87 was Clarkston's car of the year. A little under a decade later, I own a G87. Worked so hard I had a heart attack at age 30. I grew up so poor I paid WoW by mowing lawns. Now I'm ready to buy mom another car and own my dream car. It's fucking mine. I take every onramp sideways. This kid, the way he just sits and stares. That's the start of a long, hard journey for him. "I'll never get this car" it'll be a hard journey and he knows it. In a future where combustion might not even be legal, he'll still be driving it.
Me and my boys would sit on the front steps of each other's houses and watch the cars drive by. When you saw one you liked you had to yell out, that's mine no gaffle. Those were the days.
