Impressive looking setup. I'm in the trucking game and when describing their performance we usually say it pulls like a schoolboy 😂 What sort of mileage are you getting loaded and unloaded?
Thanks for sharing. I really like these American utes and thinking of selling the 200 and moving to one. My biggest reservation is that besides towing, I also do a lot of tight racks to get to spots. mostly for fishing but also just exploring for fun, and I worry that these are just too wide.
No worries at all, we personally haven’t struggled with the width of it yet, I’m sure we will one day. It is no wider than the caravan. I don’t personally have it but bushwraps do protective film for the body.
@@TheHedgesAdventures Yeah I have been looking at PPF protection and its def an option. I'd rather something stronger like RhinoHides but they don't do anything for the American utes yet.
@@TheHedgesAdventuresgreat response, a lot of Toyota guys (I owned a 200 before) say to me that the American trucks are too wide, I ask them if they’re towing their van through these tracks and when they say yes, I point out that my Silverado isn’t as wide as my van.
@@TheHedgesAdventures same here and the Chevs are a bit longer than the Rams. We run ours on truck license and she who must be obeyed handles it all very well.
Hi guys - loving your content. We are in NZ and in the process of buying a Titanium through the NZ agents - hopefully we can get our sh1t together and take delivery September. Glad I found your RU-vid as we have a Ram too so it's interesting to see where you get to in it with the van. Have you done anything to the Ram or is it stock? (Lift or air bags, etc?)
Hey, thanks heaps. We have been a bit quiet on here of late unfortunately we had a few curve balls come our way. We plan to be back on the road soon Oh that’s cool, you will love the van. We can’t fault ours What type or ram 1500 or 2500? Ours has lift and airbags, bigger tyres and a few other goodies
Nice - ours is a 1500 Warlock 2021. Has a 1" lift from factory and just std 20" wheels. We're not looking at offroad "Aussie style" but just nice to be able to get a little bit off the main roads and feel confident. Might be airbags on the horizon - sounds like that's a necessary on Rams Look forward to our caravan. Jealous of the places you can head to in Aus compared to NZ but we'll enjoy it for sure
Loved your video. What an awesome part of Qld. Your channel only popped into my RU-vid feed today, so I'm not sure which direction you are travelling in. I hope you were able to dodge the cyclone in FNQ.
Thanks heaps we appreciate it, we are a few weeks behind in videos to where we actually are. We were heading north made it as far as Cairns (videos to come) but have since headed back south Thanks for your concern
Hi Helen, Thankyou for your question - we will either get a day pet sitter using an app called Mad Paws, or if it’s only an hour we will turn the aircon on in the caravan and let them have a sleep. Being big dogs it doesn’t take much to tire them out. Some occasions the caravan parks don’t allow you to leave your dogs though.
