Thanks for sharing hun! I totally agree with the coupon thing and I really don’t think it’s worth being up in arms about. Especially for candle day, don’t they limit the amount you can get anyway? People are forgetting that usually they have a limit of 25 candles per transaction anyway. I get how the policy changes can be frustrating, absolutely, but I also feel like many people will find ANYTHING to get mad about these days. I’m looking at it in a positive light.. maybe it will help me focus on what I already have and stop buying so much!
Jenn , thanks a bunch! Loved your video on the room sprays review. I tried the leaves and I thought it was one of the better scents. Also golden sunflower, it’s really good and I would have never tried it if I hadn’t watched your video. So I bought the leaves and another golden sunflower room sprays on sale Wednesday for $3.50 each
I feel this. I really wanted to grab a bunch of Halloween stuff this weekend but it’s just not in the budget yet. I gotta wait for better deals and coupons. It was made easier by the fact that the only one thing I truly want is the Wicked Vanilla Woods candle. No way am I paying that much for a fancy glass lid. As beautiful as this rollout was - there’s about 10 things I’m annoyed about. So I like to “vote” with my dollar. Plus it’s not even August. Plus this is my favourite “Halloween/shopping” video so far. No way should creators feel pressured to participate in every drop. You’re too clever and creative to need to do that.
I know and I have seen those outrageous hauls. I also had tons of questions in my mind like you. Something is not sitting right there. I didn't enjoy those hauls, it kind of gave me anxiety.
Honestly, I watched a certain creator's Halloween haul with all the boxes and literally felt nauseous. Even if it didn't even make a dent in their budget or was all bought with You Tube income, it still was a huge turn-off.
@@rob068 it was hard to watch. I could handle it better if it was noted as PR, if it truly isn’t PR that is what is so hard, especially with the economy as it is!
At some point if you continue to evolve as a person you will get way more satisfaction from seeing your extra money in a bank account for the future than spending it on luminaries and candle holders and globes. Yes, B&BW sprays and lotions and soaps are fun to buy in small amounts but you feel better in the long run if you keep it to a minimum. Like you said everyone is on a different journey and it's important to spend within your means. 💚
@@rob068 my husband says the exact same thing! It’s difficult and not easy. I’ve made a lot of mistakes with our finances and I’m thankful he stuck by me and we are working on it together 🌻 thanks for sharing your thoughts 💭
Hi Jenn and friends! I love this series!! Did your store have the fall(not Halloween) pumpkin and maple leaf plug ins? I hope they are out, I am going tomorrow and want to use my rewards on them!!! I also want to see the fall leaf soap holder. I am like you with Halloween decorations, I like light hearted stuff. Some of my favorites are the little retro like cheapies I get from Dollar Tree. The little jointed skeletons, witches, and cute monsters!!! This year I am decorating for fall/halloween starting in August. And putting aside what others might think about it being too early. My birthday is in August and I have always wished it was in the fall(I am most definitely not a summer girl!!!) The idea of having all my decorations up for my birthday makes me happy!!! I'm surprised everyone is going so goo goo gaga over the halloween stuff right now when most of it is repackaged scents we've seen every year like ghoul friend and vampire blood. I'm truly baffled lol. I watch your videos because I love hearing your thoughts on things you love, doesn't matter if they're old or new!
@@_MandyTV I appreciate that!! I want to add: I love the Bath and Bodyworks community and I don’t want to come across like I don’t enjoy the content the big channel creators come up with. I’m like you, I don’t get it though!! 🤷🏻♀️
Ummm i think the big creator spending 1000 on things that mostly wont be used is excessive and at that every halloween release to spend that much is alot.... i mean the candle holders are reusable do you need 30 or more holders or several luminaries....no you dont at some point its too muc. Even if i had it i think spending that much on that is crazy especially since i never hear some creators talking about things like going on a family vacation which those memories hold more value than a candle holder ....idk those hauls trigger me and not jealously i just dont like all the clutter and excessive like my own candle collection that i actually burn stresses me out

Hi Jenn! As someone who LOVES and I mean really LOVES Fall/Halloween I personally do not purchase everything is being released. Let me tell you if one ever needs to move it's a PAIN in the butt. My husband and I got rid of ALOT when we last moved. I feel like as I get older I want less and less. The price points here in Canada for one are INSANE and much higher in the U.S. For example, the Luminary in Canada is $350 before taxes which to me is like you mentioned is groceries/bills. I never had plans on purchasing a Luminary anyways, but just telling you as an example of how much higher the price points are here. Even with Halloween I've become more picky in what I purchase as the price points here are higher. BBW had raised the price point for example on the full sized mists on Monday this week. I do want Ghoul Friend and Candy Apple Cauldron in the mists. However, I'm waiting on a FFM sale. I also rather have just one or maybe two solid candle holders for example that will give me joy for many years to come. I do not need 10 or 20 of them. I personally would not drop that kind of money even with Fall/Halloween. I've only ever purchased just ONE Christmas candle holder from BBW ever last year. It's one I will enjoy for many years to come and I do not want another. In terms of body care, I do not purchase everything within a collection and I often skip out on collections all together. I even skip out on sales. I'm glad I went into my local store to look at everything in person though. Watching large hauls does not make me want to go out there and purchase everything. Good for them if want to do that. It's their money and they can spend it on whatever they please. Just not for me.

I know how much you love Halloween and Fall! It was a struggle moving my small collection just across town to a new house to take care of Momma. Yes the prices in Canada would put me in a panic attack!

@justjennsthings right. I agree. It's kinda scary. If it's PR and they're not saying it, I couldn't do that. I would want to tell my subscribers. They're gonna dang well know I did not pick these things out for myself. 🤣 If they're spending their own money I wish them the best of luck with that.
Yes , I’ve really thought the same these super big hauls of BBW. How can they spend $1000 and more Products for Halloween at BBW. And once they have it and keep buying year after year , where do they store it ? How do they have room for all that stuff? Blows my mind when one creator said they had 14 rewards to use up. Unbelievable
@@eileenthompson3276 I’ve had a few rewards to use, mostly I get the most rewards during SAS season. Then I tend to use my rewards closer to new releases for Wallflower plugs, occasionally for body wash or lotion of a scent I really want multiple off. My honest guess… I’ll keep to my self for now on what is done with products or how they are getting them.

@justjennsthings it really does take some time to establish what will work for you. As content creators, we are always evolving on our channels. It's just a point of try, and try agsin.
@@jdismylovebug I was so scared to upload this! I was afraid it would come off like I wasn’t supportive of fellow creators or that I was jealous or something
I also see people's hauls, and ask how is it possible? But then again everyone's lives are immensely different. People live in different places with different jobs and different lives. The only reason I'm asking how is it possible is because I forget that their lifestyle isn't my lifestyle, and living a certain lifestyle can make someone think "That could've been a car payment or groceries" when they look at other people's hauls, and that's completely okay. But something that I can not stand is seeing people on the internet judging other people for buying a lot of bath and bodyworrks or having a large collection. It's mostly just comments that I've seen judge or other RU-vidrs that aren't in the bath and bodyworks community. It actually irritates me because bath and bodyworks or beauty products or bodycare could be someone's one hobby that they love, and it's not cool to judge people for doing something that they love, ESPECIALLY when it's not hurting anyone else. Anyways, loved the video as always!!!
@@justjennsthings omg not at all! I was talking about other people who make videos about overconsumption (which I find incredibly stupid) since in the videos they tend to judge a lot without even knowing who they’re talking about
Hello this is Latonya I would never spend that kind of money on a candle at Bath & Body Works I goes to Marshalls in QVC to get my candles I watch a lot of RU-vid and they do spend a lot of money and they get PR see you soon
I'm having to train the FOMO in me to realize that BBW releases new and enticing things 3 times per season and has sales accordingly. I've spent years at this point, impulse buying things as soon as it's released every season and then I sit back and absolutely am beyond pissed when they run sales on the things I had convinced myself that things would sell out and I needed it. So maybe, I miss out on something by not buying immediately. But that hasn't happened yet. I'm a work in progress

I've never expected most of the RU-vidrs I follow to participate in every Bath and Bodyworks drop because it's just not realistic. There are some creators who do it for a living, and those are the only ones I expect to buy everything. But I expect for other creators who don't review for a living to only get what they like since that's what I do.
@@justjennsthings I don't think it'd be odd at all. It just depends on the creator, cause if miss Bonnie from Queen of the Girl Geeks didn't buy a mist I'd be a little surprised since she collects those, but if it was miss Shaughnessy from Simply Shaughnessy didn't buy something then I wouldn't be surprised because she doesn't necessarily collect everything.
The coupon limit is a legitimate concern. Especially when BBW is raising their prices and selling almost $100 candles! I understand inflation is a thing but can they compromise, like increase the free item reward to $18.95. As for Halloween i don't care for their aesthetic this year, I wish they'd do a vintage Halloween collection instead
Honestly, the Spill the Tea series has become my favorite bath and bodywork related series on RU-vid. I feel like talking about the products themselves can be a little repetitive, but it's interesting to talk about topics that revolve around bath and bodyworks that aren't the products. much love 🫶
What a wonderful idea and an excellent opportunity to use and enjoy what you have in your collection! I love fragrances and have a collection too! And although I'm adding to it with the new new, I don't want to get too far away from the older ones that I have. So far, I fell head over heals for VS Pink Vanilla and Dreamy! I'll set that aside for Warm and Cozy. I can set aside Fruity Sherbert Scoop for Figi Sunshine Guavatini, then I'll probably could set back Tahiti Island Dream for Golden Ocean Pearl! Haven't used that one in a long time but I love it! Yes! These need some usage too, right ✅️ ❤

I'm so proud of you Jenn! You've touched on some major issues, that we all have because of our love of having a fragrance collection. I have to say, this time after SAS and ahead of Fall, I have not bought a thing. I'm ignoring all of the new Fall releases until after Labor day. And during this in-between time mini no-buy, I am really enjoying my collection. I have more focus on the stuff that I want to use up in August, still in summer mode. And, what I am planning on using for September, transition scents..𖥔 ݁ ˖🍁๋࣭ ⭑🍂༘⋆

I love this idea and it was cool to see throwback scents I've never even heard of. I've decided I'm not a tropical girl so I'm using up my entire tropical collection from last year and didn't purchase any new ones this year. Instead I'll only collect fun/ gourmand summer scents like the block party collection
