This is my purely Paragliding Channel. From start to present I'll add some of the more interesting "learning" videos. Up to the time I finally got my P1 & P2 certification I had over 100 hours of kiting experience and it feels so natural now, but back then it wasn't intuitive at all! Please stay tuned/subscribe for updates of 2020 and my flying adventures constantly blossoming into new learning experiences. Also, I plan to get my Ultralight cert. so I can legally fly my electric paramotor from airports here. The paragliding/kiting videos on bigsailboatproject channel will be eventually removed

Nice videos on flying over Ölüdeniz! Curious as to that app you used (at 0:16) showing apartments for sale. I’m planning to buy or rent in Turkey to do SIV and lots of flying there next year
Nice work Sandra & thanks for sharing - I really enjoy your DIY project videos. These look really neat! 👍 I'm sure you're well aware already, but as a note to other viewers - be very careful using pliers on any metal paragliding parts as it's fairly easy to create burrs which can damage / weaken lines. Better to use a spanner when tightening maillons and always inspect them for burrs / sharp edges afterwards. You might also be interested to explore TPU filaments which make flexible parts.

That's great! Yes I bet this is interesting for you. Strangely I was born in England!(Essex) came over to Canada when I was 6. Yep, mine is the small and it is indeed small. If in doubt about size, go one up. Anyway, the pack size is very compact so you'll need to concertina for sure to get it in there. I'm using a somewhat oversize reserve and it fits no problem. Did you see my vid on the Itus? I need to get another harness as going to leave this one in Türkiye and it will again be an Itus. ;)

Couple of things that i noted it.. Follow the wind during the take off check everything before launch no brake during take off. watch for rotors behind trees Ground work is always a good idea even if you fly for a long time.. goods and safe flights!
Thank you, Sandra, for sharing such a detailed video. I haven't found any video on RU-vid that is as informative as yours. I am planning to travel to Ölüdeniz later this month, and I am interested in trying paragliding, could you please provide info on the cost of this activity?
Might see you there! Try a tandem for sure. Lessons about 1200 then a new rig about 5k US. There are schools in Ölüdeniz doing day taster courses, ask over at Gravity. They’ll point you in the right direction. Have fun!
Maybe we'll see you there, I'll be in Türkiye from April 10 for about 6 weeks, not sure when in Ölüdeniz, might be right away (if I have anything to do with it)
Sandra! This was a most excellent video you have put together! Makes all of my Turkey footage look bad. haha! I'm so glad you filmed so much. Gonna share with my Fam so they get a better idea of what I got to experience, last May, like you! BTW, great idea with the chase cam on launch. First Chase Cam I ever saw of a Babadag launch. SO bold! Keep up the good work! Happy landings!! BTW I'm grounded for my Back right now also, Too much weight on my back (paramotor) and a few hard landings from a new advanced wing I just progressed to. Cervical discs, 2 protruding, all others bludging to some degree. I'm down for at least a Year, maybe 2 before I can fly again.
Thanks! I guess all the work it was shows. You know you're right, not many, if any, chase cams from Babadağ! That sucks what you're having to deal with now, yuk! I don't know much about discs but have had something pop that took me to the floor in a hurry (ergo the mentioned back injury) so I can imagine. Get well quickly my friend!
I noticed that you tend to hold on to your risers a lot. Please don't do that. Teach yourself actively not to grab the risers. Even if the conditions are calm and you are flying a safe, extremely friendly and damped wing, you are inadvertently learning a bad behavior that will sooner or later become a safety issue.
I do, you're right. I don't actually hold them, just use them as a "feeler gauge" to feedback position. This has recently been condoned by the experts believe it or not, so I'm less shy to take up the old habit. Of course in active air I would certainly not do this. Thank you for your concern ;)
