So from my experience, if it happens once it’s ok, but if it starts either repeating randomly or if it is consistent during certain games or menus screens, than I would address it. Mine started like occasionally and then it got to the point it happened every 2 min. If your still in warranty I would replace it if it happens more.
I just got this issue yesterday. My ps5 isn't cleaned. I can not clean it without the right tools. I tried a vaccum method, but that didn't work. I still see dust inside. I cant open my ps5 completely without this star shaped screwdriver i dont have. And i assume that's the case(not cleaned). If i do commit and take it in to get it cleaned or fixed or whatever is wrong with it, im scared that will not be the problem. The only problem i haven't tried is updating the system software, and i can't do it by usb because i dont have one. I can only do it by internet. I read through all the comments you had, and you said you gave up got a new ps5. Did you not figure out the problem? Im beginning to wonder if my ps5 has interference with my soundbar with surround sound with a subwoofer hooked up. I dont want to hand in my ps5 over something basic. Im getting sad becuase i wont be able to play the destiny 2 final shape dlc i been waiting so long for.
I preformed a factory reset. I left it on idle for almost 2 hours. I'm at 1hour55minutes. After it hits 2 hours imma assume I fixed it. Then imma download a game and test it
Good, yes I eventually got a new one because the problem persisted. If your problem comes back, I would suggest sending it back before the warranty. After time I felt the problem was hardware based and possibly a deteriorating part. I did get the error code once on my new system but that was it. Pay attention to the consistency of the error code. It may disappear for a few days but than come back and repeat every 5 min. If that happens than I’d get a new one.
Yes, if you are in warranty I advise you to send it back, because mine also got gradually worse over time to the point it happens every few minutes and when I exit to main PS screen from in game.
My ps5 is not even a year old and it’s doing this. It genuinely made me mad because I can’t even enjoy my games. My last try is to reinstall the system software from a usb drive. If not I think I’m just gonna buy a new ps5
Yes, at the time I also changed the software through USB. My best advice is to avoid missing your warranty because this issue seems to be tied to multiple things, some in which could be hardware related
If Sega had not lost the trust and loyalty of their fan base with the 32x / Sega CD and the the Saturn, the dreamcast would have dominated and Sega would likely still be making hardware today. They probably could have survived the 32x / Sega CD fiasco, but following it up with the Saturn was just a bad move. Imagine spending over 1,000 bucks in 1994 to have a Frankenstein console that requires 3 Power supplies and still can't compete with the SNES. The Dreamcast was a masterpiece of hardware... it's to bad nobody bought it
Those are some great points! I agree that the Dreamcast was amazing, great games in that library! Your point about the loss of trust is a very interesting one. Perhaps they worried too much about the snes smh. Thanks for your input!
Psst buy a Chinese everdrive cart for the master system 26$ Any 9v dc power adapter (center pin negative) And a RF or composite AV cable Should be no more than $50 And it has every game pre loaded on the cartridge
Thanks for sharing, to be honest, if you start getting it.. and you have the warranty, I would switch it out. Because what ever it is.. it can becoming progressively more consistent

@@CLEVERBOYLLChey, I started to receive this error as well after the last console firmware update but only in ps store (rarely). Also, I play PS5 and ps4 games 24/7 without issues… I sent the console to local repair shop technician just in case and he said that is not a hardware problem. Is it all good? Or it could become worse with time..? My PS5 worked without any problems since 2020
The Nes and I hate to admit this as an American who likes the Nes, but it didn't save the gaming industry because it would have gone on even if the Nes had never been released in the US. The only thing that would have changed is that you would have been gaming on home computers more instead of consoles. The game industry in the US would probably have looked a lot like it did in the UK back in the 80s.
My launch PS5 had this issue, in my case if I stay on the homescreen for while, or watch a trailer of game I was interested in the ps store the screen goes black and shuts down. When I installed the latest firmware the screen still goes black, but it doesn't shutdown anymore. The updated FW makes me think this is a software problem. Playing games is fine, homescreen randomly crashes, haven't found a solution yet.
Yes, my launch system had to go! It was so random that i just couldn’t keep it. I bought a new one and I got the error code once… it seems like a default error code for a wide range of internal issues perhaps
Just started getting this after play horizon, I think the last point you made is a good one, I don’t seem to get it at all when disconnected from the internet but as soon as I connect it goes crazy

Hey! After many attempts and some positive and negative moments…I finally turned mine in and got a new one. My guess is that the error code is a universal one that is triggered by numerous issues? But ultimately if it continues non stop i feel like it will progress and there may be a erosion factor on some component. Because I got the same error code once on my new console and never again. It is truly a enigma
I've got one coming in from Japan, really excited for it to get here. After like probably 12 years of my life wanting one, I decided I should go for it sooner rather than later since it's only getting more expensive.

Man that’s great insight, I regret not including the Saturn, but I will try and get a video on the Saturn eventually. I personally remembered loving the Dreamcast, once I saw the sonic adventure trailer on the board walk I was sold. Not to mention Virtual Tennis! The unique approach towards console making that Sega possessed was right up there with Nintendo! Let’s keep hope alive maybe if the movie business works enough, they can start making hardware again 🙏🏾
I remember my cousin had the Virtual Boy and I remember hating it and got a headache from it, Nintendo should add some of these games to their online service. Great video as always #KeepOnGaming
Thier's an few more thing's eventhough it had to be booted up by the game disk Windows CE was big deal. Do to the time i'm sure that if it had DVD-Video Support it may have done better. I know the Mil-CD loophole hart it's time on the market but that is why it sill gets new games today. The Gaming Histiron's video on sony vs eumlation forgot that The Mil-CD loophole was how Bleemcast worked. So he realy needed to small video on the Mil-CD before he relessed that long form video to help everyone understand why it worked. In fact No Blu-ray was partly why I got beeped off at my Nintendo Fan Boy bro for buying me an Wii; with him knowing I whated an PS3.
I get this same error, but only while playing PS4 games, which I cant play for more thatn 10 minutes before it freezes and turns off the entire console. PS5 games work flawlessly, tho. Still no luck with any solution
Ahh I see, it’s weird cause their doesn’t seem to be just one cause, rather the error code is a universal reaction to multiple issues perhaps, but it seems it could be either a hardware defect that renders a software process unable to manage, and in response the system shuts down. Or it could be a software bug? Honestly I think the best bet is to turn in the system if you have warranty and get a new one…but I got a new one recently and got the error code once.. and never again. So I don’t think every case is equal
Yeah, I guess its a universal reaction to multiple issues, tried everything in your video and still dies the same. Bad luck my console is from launch and already out of warranty. At least it plays ps5 games
In my case, the error should be in a difference between the process of running ps4 and ps5 games, because the same game would crash if played in the ps4 version, but run wih no issues in its ps5 version. Simce I resetted to factory settings and rebuilded database and cleared cache several times im almost certain it is a hardware error

hey brother, so when you remove the disc drive you aren’t able to update the system, or do any update in safe mode. the only time you can remove the drive is when you ‘ve already updated and have the current version, or you don’t wish to update at the time. also, remember that the disc drive has to connections on it, so you have to remove both wires that connect the disc drive. so connect the disc drive, than update the system, and then if removing the disc drive helps the system not ERROR CODE, than remove it and play until you want to update it or enter safe mode again. let me know if it helps.
I have 3 consoles and one kinda works. Also have the Sega swirl inked on my shoulder. Played Quake 3 online and still need to go back and finish Sword of the Berserk.

The Dreamcast didnt come after the Genesis… It came after the Sega Saturn, which was a failure. But yea it was ahead of its time. Online gaming in 1999 is insane.
I deff can agree with that, honestly I always felt the Dreamcast was a bit more arcade based and vibrant than the ps1… perhaps it had to do with the color processing? I wish I knew more about the tech stuff!
Bro I jus bought the ps5 4 days ago and I started getting the issue on day 3 and I’ve been having this issue all day today at least 15 times and I don’t understand I tried everything it’s brand new but I’m going to return it I have warranty I just hope it doesn’t happen with my new ps5 that I’m going to get when I do return the current one I have issues with and if so I give up on ps5
Hey, bro I feel you! I find it strange because it does seem to be something that can plague a new console, and it is very much still happening. I bought a new one also and this time a digital one.. I had that happen once and luckily never again, which has me torn between it being software or hardware. Like you said, replace it on warranty, and if possible, add a extended warranty. If we play the numbers game, you’ll be j locally to get hit with the defect again. Good luck!
So i got an m2 ssd a couple weeks back. After the last update, 10th August 2023, this has been happening frequently. I get the blod (blue light of death) during boot up. Also i have a 1 year after launch ps5. Almost 2 years old now. It seems like an m2 ssd issue ngl. What do you think?
Thanks for sharing, it’s interesting because when I got my error code i never put a SSD in my system. So I don’t know if it’s connected. The error code can be a general code that occurs when there is a internal issue with the system, either the actual graphics card or the on board RAM? It’s funny because I got a new one and I got this error code once… and it was during a very hot day. If the error code persists it can become so frequent that it’s every few seconds. It could be a sign of a deteriorating component. If you have warranty, you should exchange it if it’s consistent.
Same !my ps5 has worked smooth for years , bought an m2 ssd didn't instal it for months not even an unboxing. A week or so after installing the m2 the crashing has been relentless. I've removed it ( still crashes) but I think this is an error with the internet, because I sat in the error screen with no problems and the menu screen with no problems , but as soon as I started scrolling through my games on my home screen my game froze twice gave me the error code froze again and finally shut off
Hi man. I started getting this error two days ago but only in rest mode while the ps5 was downloading a game. It was strange, but I haven't gotten this error since then, I have played some demanding games and there isn't issue yet. The next day my ps5 updated... Another point is that I installed a sdd two weeks ago, so idk is related to that According to the play station website, this error is related to software problems
Hey! The scary thing about this is that there isn’t really a direct cause know for it, I believe it could be a reaction to a number of different possible issues… the only thing I know is that I had that issue for almost two years and in that time, all the updates that Sony had never fixed it. I think it’s related to the GPU or perhaps a short circuit in the mother board? I would have temp fixes but after a while it was so bad it shut off every two seconds. But then if I stopped playing for a month and turned on it would last for three hours. I eventually gave up and got a new one, and I actually got that same error code on my new one only once…but I have two years warranty with GameStop so I’m not alarmed. If you have coverage I would replace it if it starts persisting.
@@CLEVERBOYLLC thanks for answering me. Unfortunately I don't have official warranty in my country, I only had warranty with the store where I bought it but only for three months. I have been reading and watching some videos about it and some people started having this problem after installing a sdd... This is curious because I installed a sdd two weeks ago (before I didn't have this error). So it could be corrupted data that causes incompatibility with the sdd. I agree with you that there is not a main cause, so I don't rule out something related to the hardware but it could be software though according to what I have read/watched in some post and videos
from what i found online it most likely has to do with the internet, because i got that error while i was browsing the ps store and after i saw your video i went in the the network setings and i noticed that it said that i wasnt conneced to the internet. i had unstable connection. so check that first as you troubleshoot !!

I got this error few days ago and PS5 would shut off when playing dead by daylight. Now my hdmi connection does not work so i cant even do anything that requires me to turn on my PS5 . If all they do is take it apart like you did if i send it in ima want most of if not all of my money back. Staright BS only 2 1/2 years old and this problem happens.
Saw your vid cause I recently joined the CE-108262-9 club with a digital release ps5. Tried everything but the hard reset which was my last option before going to motherboard and just recently tried it and all seems working fine now. Console so far working fine and has been running around half an hour or more and no turn offs yet nor code CE1082629. Did notice all the reset did erase was mostly withing boundaries of the internal memory and in my case I only mostly used it for ps4 games, saves, ect. The updates from Sony and software was not erased neither did I erase MMSD2 is running all the ps5 related data. Whatever is this issue with this mysterious code could be within the ps5 internal memory. So if anyone is facing this issue my be a good idea to try this.

Yes I thought about the internal memory, but I never used an external drive because it was too expensive to use for a system I had trouble with. I hope you were able to find a good fox!
