For those people complaining about the grip, I just raced in a go kart race on Wednesday, a bit of the track was very wet with water, what did I do when I hit the water, got loose, but saved it everytime, only once did I spin out and that was when I hit some water that still was on the track, everyone in my race had control of their kart in the wet, why can’t this guy have control on this circuit??
Add some gospel influences, get a choir, a baritone singer, who can really belt, and a crazy saxophonist and this could really work. Lol maybe I can do that one day.
Don't know why people are complaining about the track conditions cause I've drive on these tracks before and only span out once cause someone rear ended me in a corner
Good on you for posting that, even though you clearly were at fault. Hopefully it shows what can happen when you drive like this. And to those saying the track conditions were bad, even if that is the case, you should always take conditions into account when you're driving.
To be fair to the lad, I think he took it in, he wasn't stupid about it and agreed with the bloke, he just didn't really seem to have the skills or understand really
Its hard to say why he was spinning out, he was taking the corners quick, probably too quick for the go kart's grip, if he was braking that would cause it to spin out. But if he didnt brake, which i don't think he did, its highly likely that there is poor grip and allot of oversteer for what is a very glossy floor. If it was tarmac, you would be cornering like that no problem.
LMAO Jeez some people. I'd think that after the first slide that'd have been an indication enough to change your style. Karting is NONE CONTACT, which someone in all likelihood may have pointed out to you. Two points of contact with a second, causing to a deserved hard smash. Some of these open events are no go events solely down to people like you as they can't figure out the simple methodology of driving smooth and fast or take it way too seriously and fight harder than they do than at Round 23 of the FIA F1 World Championship. Stay at home if you're not capable of sharing a kart track with members of the public safely.
Rental karts usually have a good handling cause they don't have a very powerful engine. All you need is just lift the throttle to slow down enough to complete a curve. When I was a kid, our instructor basic teach was "let the kart flow, ride smoothly". This guy kept spinning because he was braking too hard. If you have to brake, just tap it.
