i am not religious and i don't like friends that talk about religion and i kind of have an issue with these preachers and priests and i have a HUGE problem with these TV money sucker preachers and i know nothing about that fantasy book the bible but i have this extreme soft spot for nuns and i had 5 Aunts that were nuns and they were all sisters and oddly i could see myself as a nun and Mother Dolores seems so sweet and long before i found out she became a nun i could see there was something special about her in her movies
@@frederickanderson1860 We all have many gifts just like the body has many parts. Not everyone is called to this life but we need prayer. Without prayer, how can we know and do and preach? All that strength comes from God and not from ourselves.
@@dansedevie123 our own personal experiences can't fathom the existence of God. Not all receive same experiences of healings or miracles. People testimonies are subjective in their thinking, what happens to me can happen too others, does not work at all.
Mother Dolores Hart :"I don't know that it's explainable. I think the one thing that will give a hint : 'have you ever met someone and you're in love (with that person) and you know (that) it doesn't matter where you go, what you do ; you just have to be with that person. Because something inside of you tells you :'this (is what) matters'." @1:32 (The question of the interviewer was, in my own words: why did you gave up a promising career in the movie industry? Why did you do that?). "something inside of you tells you". That means that God is speaking, from inside your heart, to you. When you are ready, God calls you. When you aren't ready, God doesn't call you. To go after God is a personal choice (personal matter) ; it is not a collective matter ; it is an individual matter.
Very disappointing to hear how she was involved with Jack even when he was married - then he became involved with a man, then another woman and still he was a "good husband"?? I had no idea she was willing to allow herself to get emotionally attached to someone else's husband. Not a good example.
Well I actually became great fan of musicals when 1st seen Shirley Jones in carousel with Gordon macrae, I would see same two in oklamona, two classic musicals, course I'd then see The sound of music with another great singer Julie Andrews ,and if not seen Yankee doodle dandy with Jimmy cagney in star role of George m Cohen, well,he pulled it off bigtime, many of his phespian friends claimed at time doing film would damage his gangster roles, how wrong they were, what made the film more enjoyable was being true story about Cohen family, they became Irish American of course,,ye,remember war song over there??ye,just one of many classic songs,,final scene brings lump to your throat,,I'll rest there, jcvw
I never heard of a Romance between her and Sir EP. Why are people here saying she should had married him? the woman chose the lord. and for what? serving God n the community!!!
Her and Elvis did not have a romantic relationship. They were good friends. There are some pictures of her and Elvis when they did the movie "Loving You'. Beautiful and touching photos. Look them up.
Hope I will be a " nun " in the future. There are congregations that accepts females even if they have children. Will just leave the children behind and serve the LORD. Actually , am already thinking about it , if only I dont have bills to pay for , just worry about my kids , their future , that is why , am still not in the convent or monastery , but hopefully soon.-💓🙏.
Good thing,..she was a strong person...to carry on...wow...I think , men are more insure than women, they feel they have to prove themselves, all the time!!
I wonder if David cheated on Sue, and she got fed up. That is sad it floundered after nearly 30 years. I know his drinking played a part. To be fair, she could have messed up as well. As they say, two sides to a story. Shirley's mom died of alcoholism. Her grandson Jack has substance issues as well. I read that Shaun and Marty had issues a few years ago. But they resolved it.
On December 15, 1985, I was recruited by the Metropolitan Police Department 400 Indiana Ave. Graduated from the MPDC Police Academy, Blue Plains in May 1985, and was assigned to the Old Fourth Police District located on Georgia Ave. and Peabody Str, NW from (May 1985 and March 1996). Great good memories. "Clean sweep" project, Police Officer's Memorial Days, Presidential Inaugurations, 4th. of July Celebrations, Adams Morgan and Mount Pleasant's Riots, "PCP's" Crisis, Special Events like "KKK" Marches, China Demonstrations, International Police Olympiads, World Soccer Games, Washington's Red Skins Football Championship Win, "Murder Capital of the World Era", Mr. Michael Gorbachev's visits to Washington, DC, Mr. Nelson Mandela's visit, and so much more in which I had the opportunity to participate. Great people, I worked with. I was Bless when I became a Police Officer in Washington, DC !!! Thank You for the memories !!!
I was assigned to old #2 Precinct in 1968 after going through the MLK Riots & the Nixon inauguration. It was quite an education. I still have my call box key and the handcuffs we were required to buy b/c the department did not issue them.
This man is so devastatingly beautiful. I always stare at his beautiful hands. What he accomplished not just for himself but for all Black people is indeed exceptional. He was one in a generation indeed.
It’s funny how the interviewer noted that it would be “hard to top” this role. Chadwick was blessed enough to have done just that nearly 7x over. A job well done indeed.
