Hi! My name is Dakota but I go by Nightwalk here. I do music reactions and reviews, write songs in the style of different famous artists, write original compositions, present video essays, and more! Some of my favorite artists include Muse, Radiohead, Queens of the Stone Age, Royal Blood, My Chemical Romance, Paramore, and more. Hope to see you around!
The only thing of Zedd that I've listened to is when Troye Sivan collaborated with him many years ago now on Zedd's creation called 'Papercut'. Love that version. Troye did a great job. Never got into 'Muse'. Don't know why, just don't float my boat as the saying goes. Now, 'Pink Floyd' (my favourite band of all time) .... loved your reviews of their DSOTM and 'The Wall'. I was hoping that you would review some more of their catalogue. There's a whole amazing 'Pink Floyd' musical world out there for you to discover!
These kids... Most weren't born when when OK Computer came out. Radiohead had created so many amazing songs. However, I don't need to read the opinion of a person who wasn't at least a teenager when OK Computer came out. In Rainbows is great, but OK Computer is the best album of the 90s. Stop trying to reinvent the wheel. OK Computer will always be Radiohead's magnum opus. Next topic...
I'm not a songwriter but I understand your choices, maybe because I've listened to this for more than 20 years so I'm kind of an expert of this particular album although I don't understand music, haha. Following is my list, it differs much to yours: 1、New Born(everything about Muse that attracts you is in the song so it deserves it, it has remained one of my top 3 all time favourite songs for over 20 years, and most of the time it's my absolute favourite, I still lost in the feeling of the song within 3 seconds whenever I listen to it) 2、Space Dementia(maybe because I like science fiction...can always draw a full picture of it, mad scientist and some grand things...) 3、Bliss(not one of my favourites when I was a teen, but as I become older the lyrics become more and more relatable and makes me cry...the live ones are much rocking I can't agree more, I did like the live version more musically, but sometimes the studio version can magically take you to a dreamlike fantasy world and help you escape from reality...) 4、Micro Cuts(full of emotion, it says all) 5、Hyper Music(the guitar part is one of the most amazing ones for me, it's like chaotic but you can hear every note at the same time. and energy level is great) 6、Plug in Baby(I can see it every time I saw them live, sometimes repeat makes you boring but everytime I felt the song not doing much to me, a new gig saves it, they put much effort to make the performance fresh I can feel it, haha, the same goes for Madness, Madness live is always full of fun, I wish they develop some new arrangements for KOC, they seem to be too satisfied with man with harmonica, it's more than 10 years, man, need some changes) 7、Citizen Erased(when first time hearing it I thought it's a perfect song except the part that Matt suddenly goes to falsetto in the chorus part, falsetto is great but the melody of that line doesn't fit the whole song imo, today I still feel the same, other songs on the album are perfect songs too so it's here...) 8、Screenager(Screenager and Sing for Absolution are two songs that make my whole body rotating, know many of you also don't like sing for absolution, I know that song has easy guitar, easy bass, easy drums, but it's about feeling, not technique, actually the chord progression of both songs are genius imo(or fit my taste), the changing point from the verse to chorus always make me floating, I think it's because change of chord progression although I don't know why...) 9、Megalomania(like the mysterious atmosphere very much, the album is 100 out of 10 and that's why it's here) 10、Darkshines(haha know it's your favourite at the time...but it's here) 11、Futurism(Good Song but it deserves to be a bonus track, totally agree) 12、Feeling Good(Know it's a cover, so its melody is not Muse style at all and so it's here, although arrangements are great)
11:00 I've noticed metal heads often claim or confuse what're explicitly punk characteristics or aesthetics of a song as metal, maybe because the song will sound just as aggressive, if not more, than metal does. Playing four power chords over and over for a couple minutes seems totally punk and the opposite of what metal is all about imo.
Dude this was such a lazy song. 99.99% of the genius here is Bach. Not Matt or zedd. There's next to 0 originality here. If I want to listen to Ave Maria I'll just listen to Ave Maria
@@NightwalkReal i saw you released a new ep but i havent got around to hearing it yet, but i def will eventually (also for the love of god please invest in drum plugins, theres a really good one called ezdrummer that is not that expensive and it makes your drums sound 1000% better, it pisses me off hearing that same exact old snare in every song lmfao)
Suture Up My Future is probably my favorite track on this record, not because it's the best QotSA song. Because of that guitar tone and big open chords in a drop C tuning, the lyrics as well. It's a classic for die hard fans like me.
You should definitely react to Chris' solo stuff! He's going by the name Chromes. He has two songs out already. The Good Life and Imaginary World. I assume he plays everything since there isn't much details on band mates.
Zedd is a Musical Genius at this point, PLEASE REACT to his new album.. its a Freaking art, a masterpiece. ❤ Zedd Basically Set a new standard for the Future of EDM.
I still didnt listen to the album yet. Zedd took so long to release this that i dont know what to expect at all. But finally it is here. Lets see, or better, listen to it and make conclusions... I do hope i like it, cuz always had beem a big fan of Zedd.
Hey there!! Loved the reaction mate!! You should check out Chris's solo project- Chromes and their song Imaginary World. He plays every instrument on that project. It would be great checking it out! :D
It’s not just very good, that’s it. Following in a similar vein to the last two albums like you mentioned, which imo have been the two worst they’ve released. Still my favourite band, but I can’t mindlessly defend everything they do. By the end of the 2000s the quality of their albums was already on the decline. Now it’s just sad.
A touch of Verona, Drones, Unintended and Explorers... orchestral, mystical... original sound and experiment... and of course the wonderful Matt's voice 🤩 I love this hypnotic song, but I can understand that some musers don't like it, it's very special.
@@NightwalkReal Chromes! And by the looks of it it's just him singing and playing all instruments (tho Dom and Dan might also be involved we are unsure currently). But both songs he's released ("The Good Life" and "Imaginary World") are really good and his vocals are 👌
@@NightwalkReal yeah its hard to find details on the lineup of Chromes, but we assume it is Chris as a one man band because the name comes from the first syllable of his first name and the last of his last name. CHRiS wolstenhOlME = Chromes.
Bruh tf the smile is coming out with an entire new album now you can finish the last half you started over THREE MONTHS AGO damn then you could react to the new album coming esrly October if you get the chance.
