SM2 has lost half of his players base in less than 1 month Yesterday 24-hour peak on SteamDB was the same for the 2 games (35K) So, no HD2 is not yet dead and SM2 dies faster ^^
I really like how Joel went from this dude in the background making the game more interesting to this omnipresent mastermind in fanon pulling the strings to keep the war going for their own ends. This random dude became so popular that he has been immortalized into helldivers fanon and quite possibly canon not sure. Say what you will about some of their recent decisions they did a good job with the hype and advertisement basically paying itself via word of mouth.
I would not compare it to pc since the cost of a pc to run at this setting with 60fps would have cost double of a ps5 or triple. My gaming laptop with Nvidia GTX 1660ti pair with 16gb ram Ryzen 7 run no where near this graphic setting and drop below 30fps when swarmed.
In the end I guess I helped save kids. There's a point in time when I was just trying to see all the planets I could and try and do my part in major orders.
Did you notice on speed mode in the PvP stuttering whenever someone spawns? My game is silky smooth but has a hiccup every single time a teammate or enemy spawns into the map.
As a long term Warhammer fan, I enjoy SM2 a lot more than most others say. It’s very special to me getting to experience the Warhammer universe the way I expected to.
i have only played destiny 2 and for just a few years started during the pandemic. with all the drama going on, i still play destiny and will still play it, but i also agree with you about the voting with your wallet, im not buying content again, until its on sale. i also stopped trying to do raids, it just takes too much time for me. since the whole collapse of their studios, i started playing other games, like space marines 2, final fantasy and even other casual games, which is refreshing... i dont say goodbye to destiny, i say, cya later...
Don't listen to anyone both games are doing good and I'm all for it, I liked Helldivers much more, but all the cod and fortnite kids bringing toxicity and complaining about everything have been the downfall of it. Whenever they move on to the next game I hope order is restored but until then they'll complain about the sky being blue.

HD is the more unique experience, the more sandbox open ended gameplay seems to make it a little harder to balance for and just like every live service game it goes in Epps and flow. While SM is the more traditional coop shooter. Yes you have the director in it changing enemy placement but the objectives are still the same. Both do have a lot of similarities but many more differences.
But look how many space marines it takes to do a mission. Helldivers can do this solo. Physically one v one. Space marine would win. However, with atleast 2 helldivers. All space marines are dead.
To me space marine is more organized and coordinated. hell divers is just too open ended for me and without a campaign or new weapons or new stratagems gets old especially when playing with strangers. I love the game but space marine 2 has a better feel to it. I’ll get bored of the pvp eventually but I always have the campaign to fall back on and play whenever I want to.
Space Marine 2 is better in every way. No Pay 2 Progress and the devs that run SM2 aren't glue huffing r3t4rds. Helldivers 2 is the Space Marine 2 we have at home. It tried to capture that 40k horde type fighting, but with all the nerfs and weak gear, it never scratched the itch that SM2 hit. HD2 is straight garbage.
All of the warbonds can be purchased with a currency that you can earn in game without really needing to go out of your way to get it. Also, you talking about nerfs AFTER the 17th? Whos the glue huffer lmao
Space Marines 2 is an easy GOTY contender with deep world building, fully realised designs and lore thats goes back to the 80s whilst Hell Divers is slapped together copy of the Starship troopers movie.
SM2 probably feels the worst compared to HD2 and Darktide. People moaned and complained about weapons being too weak in HD2, but in SM2 you have to magdump bolters into warriors for what feels like an eternity, and gaunts shred through you like butter while taking multiple bolter rounds. Darktide is peak 40k combat, SM2 isn't even on the same level.
They have an update that's buffing a number of nerfed weapons and strategems. Arrowhead shouldn't be blamed for sony's bullshit psn plan which I think they scrapped
Not at all. Space Marine 2 is limited to play time. Helldivers 2 will be what we all fall back on until the dlc of space marine 2 comes out. People just like to create fake drama. Honestly i wouldnt have brought space marine 2 if Sony and the community wouldnt have did what they did. Theres no reason to play helldivers its stagnant with nobody pushing the line…
Helldivers killed itself with that Sony fiasco and the fact they never add any new content. And before you reply, adding guns and cosmetics isn’t content. I’m talking about new enemy factions
I'm back playing hell divers and haven't even finished the campaign on space marine. I find them completely different. Only similarity is the I've operations, but mechanics are completely different.
PATHETIC performance to be honest. The 30 FPS feels lower in Quality mode somehow, and on performance it's a blurry utter mess at 720p or lower and can't even stay a stable 60 FPS. This is just shockingly bad development, yet the PC and Xbox versions run great. Just screams "we did a deal with Microsoft".
Definitely not, HD2 is still going strong and once the new patch drops lots of players will return. Plus HD2 is better that SM2 in my opinion. Ive racked up over 350 hoyrs in HD2 and i still enjoy it, i e played SM2 for just over a week now and im bored of it

No because Space Marine is a single player game with some multiplayer options. Helldiver is a liveservice multiplayer only game. Helldivers was killed by its "fans" who spent 500 hrs on the game and then started to tell everyone how shit it is, so new players are not coming. Helldivers is a pure shooter, Space Marine is an old school action game. I watch all the HD youtubers going into SM and they suck at it, they straight away went into "how to dodgeroll through the level the fastest way"
