I hate that people are calling it a flop. The reason why it failed was because the devs decided to move all resources to the new game, they knew it wasn’t fully finished and there were only 2 devs (!) So they hired a whole bunch of people and are looking forward to making a finished game
Who’s callin it a flop?? There was 0… flopage! 😂 Love splitgate, and the devs, amazing, how dare anyone call it a flop. Considering it was basically a college, passion project that they decided to continue to work on, I’d say it was a huge success.
As someone who has followed the game since it blew up in 2021 this is a HUGE glow up. I hope they can recapture what they had and get the attention they deserve
I do like how they solidified their artstyle and boosted the graphics up a bit. You don’t really need good graphics as an arena shooter, but it doesn’t hurt as long as things are visually clear.
100%. I remember jumping into Splitgate and thinking “where is there a robot, wolf person, and future rainbow soldier here? Art style was all over the place
I really enjoyed mind f***ing the enemy with portals in splitgate! It was so fun to be everywhere all at once. Just wish more players were on it so this will be a good change of pace hopefully. Also, glad to see some of your videos hitting several k views. I haven't been actively watching your videos but definitely lots of potential here. Keep it up!
@the_backburner I wasn't sure doing variety was a good idea at first but with after being you do a video on splitgate and a while back, titanfall 2, I don't think that any more.
Thanks man. I’ve learned to not worry as much about the views anymore (getting a lot does feel nice won’t lie) and just focus on playing the games I want and talking about the topics I find interesting 💙
So excited for this one. Thought I'd go with Aeros class for movement abilities, but those special frags for the Sabrask class look WAY too fun to pass up 😁😁
Defo one of the new gen games. My list so far Spectre divide (honestly got me hooked) Splitgate 2 (loved original but i hope that they still cater for casuals because i used to always play custom settings in custom zero gravity stuff) Fragpunk (not to sure but il check it out) Lemme know if yiu have any others.
Excited about a lot of things (being a playstation player, I'll take whatever Halo-like I can get lol), but one of the things that stuck to me, other than that AAA presentation, is the aesthetic. As someone who played the original, minus the 2 maps they remade, the games maps, weapons, and character skins were kinda ass, as I'm sure you can attest to. Now, I loved the OG in spite of that, but I can't wait to see the devs spread their wings with this game!
ok... but there was a precision, in shots, sniping, etc... in Splitgate 1, that I don't get the feeling here... it looks more like running with SMGs also, adding classes, makes the game more difficult for people to get into it... I hope I'm wrong
In the case of Splitgate adding classes and other skills that let non portal master conribute expands on who can enjoy the game. In Splitgate if you cant portal you lose, the skill gap was very linear and based on strict mechanical skill and game knowledge of portals, it is not casual friendly.
Its doa for sure another flop. No portal cooldown and adding hero shooter elements everyone hates like low cooldown cross map wallhacks and 1 way shields zzz
@@EastPort10 99 percent of the fps community would it would put more emphasize on gun skill and draw casuals clearly shown by splitgates 1 player numbers
@@Aaronsplace Then it’s a skill issue. You want a game to not be what it is. To give up a key piece of its identity to be more palatable to a larger audience. I’d rather tourists like you not overrun the game.
