Sailing around the world on our new Outremer 55 catamaran in the Grand Large Yachting World Odyssey 500 (GLYWO). Started September 2021 in the South of France, end party 22.6.2024 in the Acores
I bet you will be looking to more speed, space and comfort as main criteria for you next boat selection. There is not many builders that are currently offering such opportunities 😊 Gunboat 70 being too big for a couple but HH 60 or Balance 582 might be the next video subject unless you are considering a really floatting villa in the sea like Privilege 580 and that would surprise me. Anyway wait and see and many thanks for sharing such memorables experiences.
Congratulations 🎉 Thank you for the nice videos of your adventure around the world. Nice that you were in Alvor again. We love the Algarve, especially Alvor, where we anchored for many months during the winter. Will you be sailing in the future? Maybe in Holland? All the best and best wishes from SY SURIA
Hey there, are you currently in Cannes? We saw a great circle with a nederlands coloured mast end yesterday when we pass over from Port Vieux to Port Canto...
Now at *this* point in the video, Wallis really seems like what *over there* , in the *Maldives* , an atoll_in_the_making does look like. Y`know, the *atolls_in the_making* of which the greater atolls are made up of.
Great as always! Enjoy the high-quality, deliciously filmed video, the magnificent catamaran and the wonderful couple who spend the most valuable thing: personal time, to share the beautiful) I am an old yachtsman and windsurfer... I go faster than the wind in a JP-supersport, your speeds, in this car bring, me simply to erotic ecstasy... adrenaline is heavy, but a sweet drug)
As many others said, this is quite epic sailing footage in "interesting" conditions, both sea and wind. I wonder if a certain Australian couple look a bit enviously at the boat you have and how it is performing?! Grass, greener and all that....
Congratulations on completing your incredible journey around the world 🎉 Every single episode was absolutely captivating-I found myself hanging onto every moment, completely immersed in your adventure. You both have such wonderful personalities-so down-to-earth, genuine, and simply a joy to watch. It’s been an honor to witness your experiences, and I’m genuinely inspired by your passion and positivity. I already miss your videos and can't wait to see more once you have your next boat. Best sailing channel ever, thank you Mark & Marijke ❤
My mind is not on Orcas, but on Outremers. As I read it, you bought a new Outremer 55 in 2021 and it has served you well. But now, after only three years of ownership, you are in the process of buying another Outremer 55 catamaran. You are happy with the design, and a three year old (almost) custom boat must take almost three years to sort out and fettle. I'm guessing there has been minimal change in the design, so perhaps you want a boat with a different set of options. Please would you give us a couple of paragraphs (or perhaps even a whole video), discussing technical aspects of the boat swap
@@davidherbert5027 I can do it in one line : we sold her 5 years ago on the day we bought her for the exact same price but after the rally…. Very relaxed feeling indeed (And the new boat won’t be an Outremer 55 😎)
@@CatGreatcircle Now I'm really curious "Sold her 5 years ago on the day we bought her"????? And if the new boat is not an Outremer 55, what will it be?
Seems like a good deal at the time or? In the meantime either inflation we could have made a profit though… For the final choice of the next boat you’ll probably have to wait until our presentation on the Cannes boat show on Friday the 13th
Congratulations on your circumnavigation and safe return! Thank you for sharing your journe with us, wonderful cinematography. As for the orca's, it beats me why French or Spanish or Portuguese (or EU) marine scientists have not yet tracked down and attached the problematic pod with tracking devices? Trackers can easily be linked to marine warning systems, sharing their hourly location so that boats avoid their vicinity. The technology exists; in South Africa they are tracking great white sharks and whales all the time - whales being easier as they spend most of their time on the surface. 🤷♂
Well your going to know what I say. Here it is Thank you for everything ❤️ what a sensational way and unique way to youtube your adventures 😊 Loved it Thank you Mal
Congratulations on your incredible journey around the world! Thank you for sharing your amazing adventures with us over the past three and a half years. There is a limited signed first edition that will be available via Outremer on their stand on the Cannes Boat Show during a blue water seminar on Friday the 13th, where we will be presenting too. The French translation will be available just after Cannes and depending on demand I am sure we’ll find options to arrange a second print.
