Oh my gosh yes! This is what I was going to start doing except I’m going to be practicing at home since I can’t afford that kind of thing haha. But yes I wouldn’t care what anyone says. I wish that I could’ve gone to dance when I was younger, but I’m going to do my best now to at least stretch
So gorgeous, and I love seeing how much joy it brings you!! A tip if you want your tutu to be more flat (less tilted down), you can store it upside down (crotch up)! I couldn’t tell if you were doing this in the video, so please ignore this if you already knew it! Keep dancing and doing what makes you glow 💕
Hey i just came across ur channel and im super motivated rn im 13 and today i was looking for blalet classes i can find in my town and i wa slooking for one for so long today i found it but i did some research and i read that i cant start ballet at 13 cuz im too old and can never go profesionnal i hope fornyou the best and i will start my ballet journey soon
I’m 21 now and I’ve been feeling the urge to get back into ballet again. I can’t really recall how long I did it, probably around 2-4 years with a break from 6-16. And damn, I clearly remember the bad days especially given the fact that I did Martial Arts, JROTC, and Ballet (as much as I loved those days, 16 year old me really bit more she could chew lmao and doing Audio Visual production afterwards didn’t help-). This video made realize the joy of just taking your time and savor one thing.
You may not have the same technique as someone that’s been doing ballet their whole life but you have the love for ballet that some people lack, and that’s all that really matters right now
Your so good! I have much i want to do! I know I am just a young teenager/ a junior like that and I have biiiig dream but, I really want to try out ballet! It looks so fun, but I think I have to big foots and the wrong body shape. And worse we don’t have any baller classes in my city. And my parents don’t have enough money for it. I would like to try at home but it’s too dangerous if I don’t get help so I don’t broke any bones or worse
I LOVE THIS!!! My ballet school recently started up a program called "Silver Swans" which is targeted at older citizens who wish to take up dancing. Most of the women are seniors and they're so happy to be able to start something new so late in their lives. I'm so glad you've found something you enjoy and congrats on a wonderful performance <3
I am 75 years old and I went on pointe for the first time at 30 years old and I was addicted. I am so proud of you....when I did it people said I was crazy and some teachers refused to teach me. I had been a dancer and Knotts Berry Farm and one of my fellow can can dancers was a ballerina and a teacher....and Bronwin taught me pointe....I was the mother of a 5 year old
Thank you for this. I’m 14 and I wanna start gymnastics SO bad, but I’ve always thought it’s too late. Would I even be able to compete? Idek. I’m pretty experienced with tumbling tho. But I’m gonna ask my mom, please hope and pray that she says yes 👏
I honestly have no idea why ballet became exclusive to only those beginning intensive training at age 3. I stopped doing ballet after 7 years, only 9 years old, because I felt so "behind" when my classmates began pointe. Adults are much easier to train, if not physically, then in them actually understanding what they are meant to accomplish in a way a young child can't.
I actually can't do it. I have a bone deformity where my leg bones are all twisted internally. If I point my legs outwards, it's painful, and my joints slip out often. So, while I love ballet, I can't actually dance. But I've found that watching my local ballerinas perform is awesome, too.
My parents refused to let me take ballet as a child because it was obvious I was going to be extremely tall which would rule me out of a professional career. I guess in the 70’s there really wasn’t seen to be any other reason to take it. I guess now that I’m in my late 50’s I need to find an adult course!
That’s so cool! Fun fact: I’ve been dancing for ten years, and this year we are performing the nutcracker, and I’m a party boy, Chinese, French, and I’m a flower in Waltz of the Flowers (the song in the backround)❤
I am so happy for you!!! I love your passion for ballet and your bright attitude! I guess I am what you call a traditionalist. However, because I love ballet and because I love people so much I am genuinely interested in ballet being accessible to everyone so I could never be offended. You embody the spirit of “sharing ballet”. I am beyond proud of you!! Keep dancing and keep training! God bless you!
I have never felt so seen/relatable to this.. I’m 26 turning 27 soon and have always had grand ideas/hobbies, but then ditch them and never fall through with them. Is it ADHD?? Depression??? Lack of identity??? Who knows. But ballet.. ballet I always go back to. Always with thoughts filling with “Well, I don’t have that body. I’m flexible but I’m not a dancer. Maybe it’s too embarrassing now at my age”, or, “I’m just going to stop and give up again”. You make me want to see it through with ballet though. You’re such an inspiration. How do I commit to the thoughts of a dream and turn it into to a reality 😭
