should've been using auto throttle with set speed and autopilot/FCS to keep her level and used trims to adjust in increments. makes it a lot smoother and although time consuming, much safer
Is this pc or xbox I got pc version and can't get it to work properly wonding if any one else having problems on pc or if I have hardware issue. Airshow manger automatically starts when my flight loads and as soon as I move my throttle tanker spawns on runway in front of me
Are you using anything like navigraphs, so you can look that plane and see its alt speed? Also, is there a onboard camera that you can watch the hook up?
When using Airshow Assistant, you can set the speed of the tanker. So, I had it set to about 290 knots or so. And there is no onboard camera and all by lights on the under belly of the tanker and just lots of trial and error and placement of the aircraft. This took a ton of practice.
If you have your flight stick set up correctly it makes it so much smoother. People forget you can go into your controls and adjust your expo or rate curves for you flight stick and make it buttery smooth.
I fly the KC-46 across the US on MSFS usually each day, I just get up to 30k ft and put autopilot on in case anyone wants to simulate refueling while I am doing stuff around the house, then I come back to land it at the end.
So live players can drive the tanker & can refuel other live players driving planes like the f35 etc etc? I thought it was AI based AAR, if two random live players can do the refueling then I'm def gonna have to pick this up today
What I was using was from airshow assistant so thats AI. I know there's a KC-135 from Delta Simulations you can fly and also a couple other refuelers from Captain Sim you can fly as well.
i notice this app makes the game very smooth! HOWEVER be warned. during arrival the screen freezes while game continues to run. YES. game runs while screen remains static. I have only used this app to have this happen 90% of the time on arrivals. umm not sure why , maybe due to graphics loading etc while app is trying to scale same time? When i turned off the app this has not occurred at all till now. not sure if anyone else experienced this yet. but this is my experience thus far.

The headless pilot thing has been doing the rounds in the other planes for a while now. Hype Performance were the first to do it with their H-145 and Indiafoxtecho have started doing it with their planes now too. Its a a good trick and comes into its own for VR users. It adds massively to the immersion in VR to have a virtual body in the cockpit, but obviously you don't want a head getting in the way.
There been several videos now if inside the cockpit, crew area and detailed flight and cockpit stuff (not systems). However, the B2 first flew in 1989, official service from 1997 and they stopped making the airframe in 2000's so it quiet an old aircraft already. The aircraft is 35 years old! Had of course several upgrades since, but it's costly It's also being phased out & retired early (originally to 2050's but atm only to about 2030's) as the B-21 is replacing it. B21 first flew last year in 2023 and I think enters service in 2027
