@@ellasal An entire symphony would be difficult, so maybe 5th symphony 4th movement? (Since it's not too long. You could also try my favourite: 7th symphony 1st movement). You could also do your favourite movement of your favourite symphony ❤️
"Whoever's on the drums, they got it!" That's the truth! His name is Perrin Moss, and he is an absolute master of pushing & pulling the time-feel of a piece of music, much like his idol J Dilla. The crazy thing is, Perrin actually started out as a producer! (He still makes mixtapes under the name Clever Austin.) His original plan was to learn how to play drums so he could make his own beats, but then he met the other members of Hiatus Kaiyote and quickly became their full-time drummer!

That comparison with Jacob Collier is so valid and so funny to me I have been a huge fan of Jacob Collier after his “In My Room” album but kinda lost interest over time As I feel like his music kinda lost its roughness and “amateurishness” in his production that in my opinion gave it more soul I also have been a long time fan of Hiatus Kaiyote as it’s in the same RU-vid recommended together with Snarky Puppy and Vulfpeck and was so disappointed when this song wasn’t on “Mood Valiant” I’m so happy it’s here now after listening to it for so long on bad quality RU-vid videos of them performing it live!!! Love how nuts and gritty they went with the production too!!

You captured my exact reaction to this song on my first listen, and the whole album was just amazing and mind blowing. Loved the reaction!! Keep it up :).
In terms of ending and story telling, it changes from production to production. I would say there have been three major changes and “versions” of the show so far. 1. The original play which’s aesthetic and storytelling was captured in the movie, a very creepy but fun gig through the first act, and up the creepy and disturbing and turn down the fun through the second act. 2. Alan Cumming’s version, much less creepy and much more fun. Feels like just some guys who want to party going through hard times. Then in the second act instead of disturbing they almost go for jarring, plot twists that make your stomach churn (I literally got a headache from all the emotions the first time I watched it) 3. This version, very clown or mime-esc. Much more exaggerated performances and movements, as well as brighter costumes and makeup. Everything is bigger and more over the top, and thus the creepiness is also bigger and more over the top. I don’t doubt they chose clowns because a lot of people are afraid of clowns. Unfortunately I haven’t seen this version of the show so the best I can judge is from the recordings I’ve seen of Willkommen and Don’t Tell Mama, both of which are in the first act so I can’t tell how they treat the second. There is a cast recording though so that’d probably give some info Anyways sorry for the insane amount of comments and yapping

So, Jacob did a full version with John Legend and Tori Kelly. He asked Yebba if she wanted to re-record her verse but she declined so her part is the original, low fidelity, acapella version from years ago.
