Honestly, thank you so much for sharing this, I live in Canada and all the performances from the Tonys have been blocked in my country it seems?? I've been trying to see the full number since the Tonys happened and this is the first video where I can actually see the whole dang thing!

I actually did know this and it honestly makes the scene so much more impressive bc I had NO idea until someone mentioned it in the comment section of a video I saw !!
In terms of ending and story telling, it changes from production to production. I would say there have been three major changes and “versions” of the show so far. 1. The original play which’s aesthetic and storytelling was captured in the movie, a very creepy but fun gig through the first act, and up the creepy and disturbing and turn down the fun through the second act. 2. Alan Cumming’s version, much less creepy and much more fun. Feels like just some guys who want to party going through hard times. Then in the second act instead of disturbing they almost go for jarring, plot twists that make your stomach churn (I literally got a headache from all the emotions the first time I watched it) 3. This version, very clown or mime-esc. Much more exaggerated performances and movements, as well as brighter costumes and makeup. Everything is bigger and more over the top, and thus the creepiness is also bigger and more over the top. I don’t doubt they chose clowns because a lot of people are afraid of clowns. Unfortunately I haven’t seen this version of the show so the best I can judge is from the recordings I’ve seen of Willkommen and Don’t Tell Mama, both of which are in the first act so I can’t tell how they treat the second. There is a cast recording though so that’d probably give some info Anyways sorry for the insane amount of comments and yapping
