I purchased the S210. I compared it to the 8.25 Milwaukee but 289 compared to 399...plus i already had an evolution 7.25 so far it performs very well.... But i did buy an m18 metal saw with a 12 amp hour battery for small jobs...
i already had a 15 kWh (36v) battery bank made from old scooter batteries hooked up to a loud Chinese 3000W inverter. Now I plug my battery bank into my Delta 2 (Delta 3 Plus on the way) to run all of my appliances. (a side by side, a commercial fridge , a commercial freezer a wine fridge and a giant chest freezer. 24/7) My battery bank is hooked upto (9) 320w panels.
WOW ECOFLOW IS SMASHING IT. I was so on fence which brand to buy. It is as bad as trying to choose your coolaid with power tools. Yellow, Red, Green. Etc Etc. I finally bought a river 3 but, disappointed about how long it takes to get it. A month wait after purchase on Amazon Prime day seems long. I feel like ordered from Fingerhut add and mailed in order in the 80s lol Either way One complaint I have about ecoflow at least on few stuff they just released they took away a great feature of birectional USB C. Why would they take away what the consumer wants? I want to be able to charge off usb c the primary unit so can use battery packs laying about to extend run time. ECOFLOW if you are seeing this WHY?
I have the first generation sharpener and it works great. Just be careful on the kitchen knives as it removes a lot of steel and could change the profile, don't ask me how I know. I love using the coarse belt on my machetes, hatchets and axe. All I do is remove the angle guide attachment and free hand the grinding on the axe or hatchets and it does a phenomenal job.
Great review man. I'm buying one very soon. I'll use your link when I do. You earned it. I've been using a Harbor-Freight 6" horizontal bandsaw for the past decade as well abrasives, angle-grinders, etc, and I'm truly over the wait time of the bandsaw. It has to be baby sat too often and you never really have enough time to do other things while waiting for it to cut. They are helpful at night however if you have neighbors and want to keep cuts quiet. The cold saws are a lot louder ...but it's time!
I bet if you compare the quality of the battery cells and the fact that one will not work with a smart generator the deal doesn't seem quite as good. All though it does seem like a fair deal for the adaptability. I'm happy to see all companies expanding lines and products above single plug and play units.
For the price this makes an incredible traditional UPS replacement. I have an older APC1500 UPS that needs replacement at my WFH desk. Makes a lot more sense to spend the similar money on this, and have the added capacity and features over just an old-fashioned lead acid 12V UPS.
@ecoflowtech @TheKelleysReviews, thanks for video! I'm a noob in understanding battery power for emergencies (used to just running noisy generators). This past emergency, being out of power for 5 days (i'm not complaining!) I have a simple question, will this unit delta 3 plus with 1024Wh, be able to keep: 1) 10 ft3 chest freezer 2) Side By Side Fridge for 4-5 hours at a time? Then when battery is low, I can recharge the battery with the solar panel - so that I can run the Freezer + fridge for another 4-5 hours? Thanks for your time and helping me understand.
What you will need to know is the amperage or wattage of the devices you plan to run, plus intended run time. You take the watts for example and deduct them from the watt hour (wh) capacity of the unit which is 1024wh. You also have to take into consideration you have losses converting from a battery through the inverter. So a safe bet is 80% of your battery capacity is usable, maybe more. That would leave you with 800wH of capacity of the unit. If you ran a steady pull device like a fan that pulls 80 watts, you would get 10 hours of runtime. 80 watts times 10 hours equals 800 watt hours. Hopefully that gives you a little understanding of how that works. As for the freezers and refrigerators, it gets tricky. That's because they don't pull steady power all the time, they are either running or not. So your runtime is based on how cold you keep them and how often you open them. You can realistically keep a refrigerator that's already cool running for a day if you don't open it. A deep freezer even longer, that's because they won't run much. If you let them get hot, then they will keep the compressor engaged, thus running your battery supply down much quicker. Your going to want to have at least 400-500 watts worth of solar panels to charge this device up quickly during the day so you can use it at night. You can also charge it via solar, WHILE it's plugged in and running your appliances. You can get away with smaller solar panels, just realize that means the unit will take longer to charge, all while your freezer and refrigerators are potentially not hooked up. The other beautiful thing about this model is you can add an extra battery later on doubling or adding up to 5x your capacity and runtime.
There's definitely efficency losses, usually 15-20 percent for inverters. I might not have gave the unit enough time to adjust and calculate the remaining time. This one is not instant like some of the other EcoFlow models.
THANK YOU!!! i have asked reviewers to discuss what happens once power is lost, then after restored. Does it automatically energize the 120VAC outlets. YOU ARE THE FIRST REVIEWER TO MY KNOWLEDGE TO ADDRESS THIS ISSUE. And it is good to know that this unit offers that capability. I would live to know more detail on that specific feature. If it is referenced in a manual (and maybe a link). THANK YOU
It's called output port memory in the app. It returns to last known settings. What I need to find out is at what battery percentage it turns back on the inverter.
I recently built a small off grid shop. I'm considering the delta 3 plus with solar to power my shop. But I wonder if it will start my compressor. I have a fortress 26 gallon super quiet portable air compressor from harbor freight. It recommends a 20amp 120volt circuit.
That's going to be tough to start in my opinion. Compressors are notoriously hard to start due to high surge on startup. Technically this should work, but it's almost impossible to say without trying it. You might need a larger unit with larger battery or AH capacity to help.
Yes, just use an adapter that crosses over 120v power supply. It's called a bonding adapter and other names. I've shown in a few videos, let me know if you need those.
Can you please provide me a link to the item, I love on Long Island Ny and have gotten a few storms but not every year. Trying to figure something that will be good for years and I can use it when needed to power fridge and other items
Yes it "should".... You can't make changes to it via internet if your not around it. You can make changes via the app by Bluetooth without internet or not if you are in range of it.
an awsome friend sent me the river 2 pro and its been a little beast compared to the river pro! the river 2 pro is my back up power for all my radio gear and i use the river pro to power my big boy radio when i sit on the pourch and play radio! very awsome backups!
Great information Andrew. That's exactly what I'm looking for to run my refrigerator and freezer. I've been waiting a while for a back-up system like this. Looking forward to the Eco flow generator test, it sounds like actually what I am looking for. I lost you on the live stream. I hope everything's okay.
Technology is definitely changing and improving. Sadly we will probably be using these in real outage scenarios in the future. There sure has been a lot of storms this year.
@@TheKelleysReviews You all have really been through it this year! I can't believe the number and strength of these things. Prayers for you and everyone who have been through this and those having to deal with this next one.
Yup, bought a Schumacher 1231, which won't charge a dead battery. Will never buy another 'automatic' battery charger for as long as I live. It also does all kinds of things it is not supposed to, like it puts power to the charging clamps with no battery hooked up, and the 30A charge does nothing now. I have used it like 5 times. I have a wheel around I bought beat to hell 20 years + ago, that has been further beat to hell since then, and it still works fine, and it WILL charge a fully dead battery...what a concept. Sometimes, when I see stupid designs like that, I am embarrassed to say that I retired from that same profession. Don't even get me started on SW engineers.
Love the useless information coming from someone who doesn't actually own one. We've already put more miles on this in the last year than a golf cart will see in a lifetime.
I bought the same charger as that, but it was automatic. I had it for a year i charged, maybe 7 batteries with it, and last weekend, the control board shorted out, so I did the smart thing and ran my ball pean hammer through the display and sat down and went on Amazon and bought the step up from yours and I am positive I will like this one better 😀 😂 old school is best i didn't think thay made them anymore so happy they do can't stand the auto things junk
I bought this today and I used it and then I had to return it. Because the case started to come apart, where the Chain bar and the Oil Reservoir were Meeting. I believe I bought the wrong length for my useage. A 10” length would be better for Cutting Small logs and Brush. Check the Oil Reservoir and bar location every time you use it. Or I believe you will regret it
