Had one for about 4 years. Use it to knock down the small growth branches off the trees near the river behind my house so I can see the water. Love it. I also carry it when off-roading to cut back trail brush.

Sure beats the old Vintage hand sickle scythes with the little wood handle that I used to use! They had way too much curve in the blade. You'll get a lot of use outta that.

In the UK they are called Billhooks, but they are much thicker blades than the Fiskars, look them up there are loads of designs from all over the country, mainly used for hedging where the trunk of the hedge is partially chopped through then it is bent horizontal to encourage the hedge to thicken and produce more stems.
