Thank you sooo much for posting this. After much self diagnosis via scanner, my issue kept returning after several soft tcm resets. My IMS issue was that it cannot detect distinguish P and N. Upon ignition the torque converter slams the system. Reverse is good but low power. The D is low power maybe stuck on 3rd or 4th the entire time. Max speed is 55 mph.

From your experience do you think I can replace a 6T40 Gen1 from my Opel Astra J with a new one transmission 6T40 Gen2 and programming the new TCM(clear TCM) for my car without any problems at the synchronization with the ECU of my car? Thanks! (The same car with the same engine code after 2012 equipped with a Gen2 6T40)
My goodness, what a great video. I am wondering if I buy the solenoid pack only and replace that instead of the whole TCM if that would work and if i wouldn't need to reprogram it since i would keep the same computer?
What shifting issues did you have before testing the solenoids? What exactly did you replace in the transmission before shifting became smoother again?
You did a Good job there, I have a question tho, after you have changed the solenoid, did you do some programming for it? Or the replaced solenoid has the same serial number for the other one?

Okay I have a question if I have a problem with v67 gear. While cold it takes 5 seconds to shift to HEAR IN D THEN I DRIVE ITS NORMAL 1 2 3 4 5 WHILE COLD AFTER 1 MINUTE OF DRIVING HEAR BLINKS ON N THE HEAR IS STUCK IN 3RD SHIFT WHATS THE ISSUE. I CHANGED THE CLUTHS SAME ISSUE EVERY MECHANIC SAYS GEAR AND NOBODY CAN FIX IT. WHAT DO YOU THINK YHE ISSUE IS ????
