Very effective solution. it may seem like a simple trick but it is difficult to find this suggestion anywhere.. people are suggesting complex methods like embedding HTML in email and coding stuff which is not easy for a non-techie.. thank you for this video
This happens when you do not authorize it to run the script from your account when it prompts for the first time or made changes to the script and need re-authorization. Please check this link for troubleshooting developers.google.com/apps-script/guides/support/troubleshooting#:~:text=already%20reported%20it.-,Authorization%20is%20required%20to%20perform%20that%20action.,is%20presented%20to%20the%20user.
It can be changed by editing HTML file. Edit below line in Greetings.html style="font-family: 'Gill Sans', 'Gill Sans MT', 'Myriad Pro', 'DejaVu Sans Condensed', Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 36px;"
I'm trying to put a <href="mailto:..... at the bottom of the message and would like to insert the Employee_Name in the body string. Can not find the syntax for it - Please help. Thanks - Great script...
If you need to add a "mailto:" hyperlink at the bottom after the border, add it between </table> and </body> tags at the end of the Greeting.html file. <br> </tr> </table> ------- here--------- </body> </html> Place wherever you need "Employee_Name" in the html file. That will be replaced with name. You can use "Employee_Name" string in the Messages sheet also. It will be replaced with employee name.
@cyber curve thanks so much. I have yet to try this one out. Recently I have used the script which you have provided for automated birthday greetings. It works beautifully & perfectly. You cover everything & so user friendly too. Thanks 🙂
