what has been done cannot be undone - so its not about the past - its about where they are now and how the biological mother can morph into her childs life with the least negative impact possible. so instead of arguing back and forth, each speak their truths, agree on the the others perception apologise for errors and unite - gotta be hard for the adoptive mother though instead of a rivel she should be seen and treated like the guardian angel she hopefully has been
Sorry but the daughter in law looks like she dominates her husband too. She has lack of boundaries and probably jealous of the mother son relationship. Is the mother in the right no but the daughter in law isn’t any better.

Dr Phil my son is doing the same thing except my son has brain damage from a seizure when he was 2yrs old he is 33yrs old and strong and doesn't even know the concept of time he was arrested Jan 20th this year he spent a month in jail and 3 days ago he went to Oceans in Abilene TX for 7 to 14 days program for his anger he breaks cellphones TV's , bust my windshields out rip his clothes apart and he has been caught standing over me when I'm asleep I need help Dr Phil I'm terrified when they let him out of the program his physicist said he is a danger to himself and others but the mental health in America has collapsed and hard to find a place for him to get the proper help his father was very abusive he beat and raped me in front of our children i have PTSD equivalent to a man who had been to war from the abuse and my kids watched i divorced him in 1997 he is now passed away from his life of abusing drugs he got hep c and he spent the last 3 years of his life in a nursing home where he passed away

They are all acting like a bunch of 2 year olds fighting over the last sweet in the bowl. And the men have no effen backbone to sort this out.. either you get on or you don't. Life is simple. If you don't you learn tolerance for your kid's choice in partner.
My MIL just had heart surgery. My husband, children and I have been helping her as much as we can. Plus flowers and cards. Showing love to her just like she shows to all of us. But we started out a bit rocky. She didn’t approve of me because I had been married before. It took time. And she is a red head with a temper. But with time and patience and love, we grew close. She is a light in our lives. If you have a good mother-in-law, cherish her. ❤️
I never got an allowance. My parents told me that my allowance was being able to live in the house, eat the food in the pantry/refrigerator, clothes to wear, and a bed to sleep in. This boy will never know real joy or contentment if he does not learn how to work for what he receives. He is an entitled, selfish brat.
I learned through my own relationships that venting or even talking to my family, especially my mother would only cause more drama and fights with my husband. My son is with someone I really do not care for. But instead of budding into their life I choose not to ask or respond to anything going on between them. I only ask about my granddaughter and try to be as supportive as possible with them. They lived with me for a couple years and it was very obvious I would end up not seeing my son or granddaughter if they did not leave on good terms. I rented them a place and paid first/last month rent. Fully furnished it and gave them a car. It made the transition so much better than I could have ever dreamed. If I had to wait for them to save up they never would have left and we would have fought every day. It worked perfectly. Cost me about 5k for the furniture and rent but it was well worth it.
This looks like a divorce waiting to happen. Eventually someone is going to snap and take it too far. Sometimes you just have to cut your losses and just move on. Break up with you fiancee and start over with someone else. I know that sounds cold and easier said than done, but it ultimately ends the feud that can go on forever.
The only weight she needs to lose is him!!, he is a horrible narcissist man!!!, omg, his wife is beautiful how can he treat her like that?!!!, as Dr Phil said do you have a mirror in your house?!!!, if his wife lost weight this dude would be even more narcissistic then he already is. I sincerely hope this woman for her and her children’s sake divorced this awful man.
Typical Single mom, only son syndrome. Divorced/widow mom with nothing much going on in her life, interfering in her married son’s life because she sees the daughter in law as the outsider, an alien.
