Nice that you are visiting my RU-vid channel! The love for nature is almost self-evident for me. Birds have become my greatest passion. I have been photographing for the most part of my life. Since my camera also has a posibility to make videos...I try now and then ;-) Hope you will come again!
We have Stellers Jays where I live and they are extremely loud, except when they sing their "whisper song," which sounds a lot like this. Jays are fascinating birds.
Hi Megan, How nice of you to inform me! I sometimes hear Steller's Jay - the loud call - on RU-vid videos. I didn't know that they can sing so softly, like our Eurasian jays. Jays are also intriguing to me because of their curiosity, beauty and intelligence. Thank you and have fun!
I think you're descended from the Jays, because they were on earth before us ;-) If you can sing too, I'm totally jealous of you? But all joking aside, you have a beautiful name!
Yes, I am also very happy that I experienced this and was able to capture it. I used to hear it more often during breeding bird counts, but then I never had a camera with me.
I once heard strange hissing sounds in a forest, but I couldn't see a bird. To be honest, I would not be able to find any bird's nest in a forest at all.
@@kestrelsandcrows6871 We are not allowed to search for nests during a breeding bird count, then you can disturb the birds. So you take a map and draw the location of all the birds that sing, then you have to learn the song of all the birds that breed there.
This sort of chatter they do is quite quiet. There's one that- unusually- can often be found in a park in the centre of Bristol, and when I saw it once I followed it as it went from tree to tree, only 5-6 metres up, and it was making this quiet, sweet chatter to itself. It was almost as if it was humming or whistling while it worked.
Hi Matt, how nice in the center of the city. Does he have a breeding spot there in the park? I hope his singing is loud enough (because of the city noises) to attract a female.
MrsSandhill I like how they eat they look like a hummingbird eating the pollen but I don’t really know what places can I find one of those birds I live in North Carolina and haven’t seen any of those birds 🙁
Dear Jakub, Thank you! It was a young bird. He was very tame, that saved him. A female Bittern did not survive the frosty period because she was too shy. I also enjoyed your movies again! Kind regards! Ellen
