Hello, I don’t have my CB7 anymore but still have alot of love for those cars. I see alot more people active on the CB7 Facebook groups than anywhere else.
Hey Man! Great finding your video as I have an E46 M3 vert that is getting the Karb race box from EAS and tuned by HTE when it arrives! I don't have headers so probably wont make that much power, but I'm all about the top down drama when driving =). Lovely car and your video got me super excited to install my karb box. Question for you. I currently have a K&N intake as well as the Eisenmann sport exhaust. Did you have any sort of intake prior to the CSL box? If so, is the sound difference dramatic?
Another Q. What trunk is that? I’ve been looking for one on my vert. Does it fit well? Did you install it yourself or did your body shop when you got it painted?
@@Visuallearningwithjulian it’s an old Vorsteiner CSL replica trunk from a long time ago when vorsteiner was still making them for convertibles. I bought it from someone on the M3forum back in the day maybe 8 years ago. It fits okay, definitely not factory fitment, I didn’t get it painted because it was already Imola red when I got it.
I too have a convertible. I always feel that i'm missing out in performance given the reduced weight in the coupe.... although I do love the convertible performance too.
Yea there is a trade off in performance for having a convertible because of the added weight. I personally don’t mind, I enjoy driving with the top down when I choose to.
FYI with the alpha N tune your convertible will have at least 325whp and 255 wheel torque. That will help with the added weight of the convertible. For me personally that’s enough hp for street and backroad drives!
I installed my headers and full exhaust all at the same time so I can’t speak specifically for the impact of the headers alone. I did feel a little bump in power after installing the exhaust but I felt the biggest difference after getting the car tuned. You won’t maximize the power out of installing headers without a tune. Headers are a good upgrade for these cars because the Cats in the stock headers are way up stream which is restrictive.
Im not sure why you expected more but I also don’t know what you are comparing to. When comparing to other s54’s that have been dyno’ed with similar mods, on the same dyno it made around the same power. It was right inline with my expectation.
I know this has nothing to do with this video but I seen your accord on another channel. How do you mount that 94-97 front lip to that cb7. Could you possibly take a close up picture? Ty so much
Hello, I don’t have the car anymore, but if you wanted a general idea of how I mounted it, I basically followed the instructions in this link. www.cb7tuner.com/vbb5/forum/site-features/diys/exterior-diys/75273-ext-cd5-accord-front-lip-install-with-pix
I swap this euro r motor to a prelude, but i kept it OBDII i swapped somethings from my old engineso i can past the emission and im using my stock ecu, i wondee if i need the dyno tune up or is not necessary?
wilkin trejo you don’t need to dyno tune , but if you want max power out of your setup then yea you would want to dyno tune to get the full potential out of your setup.
ceelooboob oh ok thanks, but if i dyno tune it do you think that if i take out the max power dont you think i will kill the engine's life quick? Cuz im getting out more power than it have or not?
wilkin trejo no, if tuned properly the engines life expectancy will not be affected. Make sure you go to a good tuner who knows what they’re doing and that they’re not being overly aggressive. A properly tuned motor motor should run better and safer because you’ll know it’s not running to lean which can be dangerous or too rich which would leave power on the table.
@ceelooboob Oh ok. Sounds about right. I appreciate the info you've given me. If I didn't come across you and your video, I would've never gotten me a MFactory FD knowing they said it will not fit tranny with OEM LSD. Lol. Thanks again. MFactory FD does work on JDM F20B T2T4 too just for future reference.
Never took it to the track with this final setup, but it ran low 14's on street tires in the past. It would've probably run 13's with this setup and tires
what's up my man. GotDam that Vtec cracking. Got my swap done but wouldn't run. only fire at one cylinder but got my obd1 dizzy today. Hopefully she will bust off.
what's up man. Me again. Finally got everything in and ready. Wanted to know did you splice your connectors for your Egr valve at first or left it unplugged. I know you have it blocked now.
Oh OK. Cool. So I'll be aite. Still haven't start it yet. Waiting for injector jumpers to come. I could not find the OBD1 H22 345cc injectors no where. Will try out of state Salvage Yards but I'll settle for the OBD2 290cc's for now. Man I really appreciate ya. Will do a s/O video when it's all done. Will s/O you and your channel for sure.
+Kosi Caruth I used synchro tech, awesome product and customer service. The aren't crazy expensive , I believe 200-300. But I bought the master rebuild kit which is around $700 and the final drive which is around another $700
Thanks for the quick reply. Nice I been talking to my brother about this gear in his cam'd f20b 4th gen prelude. I went from a 4.4 to a 4.92 on my f2b eg and it was great. I wonder if you can pull 13s with a all stock motor? I did you probably can with the 4.6.
ceelooboob i saw the other vid of the retune, and was wondering was all that power from this vid 208hp to the other vids 220hp just from changing the header or did you do other bolt on mods?? Because if you got 12hp increase just from a header change i think im going to order me a set from whitfield.. my h23 is currently making 210hp 169ftlbs of torque.
Awsome swap, i have the same engine but in a CD7, the Whitefield header tho, dod you have to modify your front cross member? Im having a real tough time having mine installed :'(
I had traction bars, so when I installed the header I had plenty of clearance. If you have the stock front cross member you will have to notch it most likely.
ceelooboob lol my bad i meant to ask did u use the cb vss? And the cb rpm cable as well? Im guessing you did the obd2 to obd1 swap right? If so how did ugo about that?
Yes I used the cb7 vss. I used my complete stock f22 cb7 harness . Just add wires for vtec. So yes the stock f22 cb7 rpm wire is used.yes everything I used is obd1. Obd1 h22 injectors, obd1 internal coil distributor, obd1 ecu, obd1 iacv when it had an iacv on it, obd1 alternator. It's all plug and play.
I'm loving this numbers I can only imagine how you feel.... freaking sexy you see I'm so saving up hopefully next year I can do the Euro r swap... super clean and powerful. Yes keep videos coming
