1990 Honda Accord (CB7) 2000 Euro-R H22 Swap with T2W4 Transmission AEM V2 Intake with Blox Velocity Stack 68mm Throttlebody Highend Header Apexi Catback Exhaust Tuned by Chris Harris at Xenocron Filmed with Go Pro Hero 2
I have a 1992 Hatch with this motor, been driving it for 4 years as a daily driver. Last tune was 211.92 whp and 167.28 torque. This Thing Will Put A Smile On Your Face! I Love This Motor! You can't go wrong with this swap!
I know this has nothing to do with this video but I seen your accord on another channel. How do you mount that 94-97 front lip to that cb7. Could you possibly take a close up picture? Ty so much
Hello, I don’t have the car anymore, but if you wanted a general idea of how I mounted it, I basically followed the instructions in this link. www.cb7tuner.com/vbb5/forum/site-features/diys/exterior-diys/75273-ext-cd5-accord-front-lip-install-with-pix
Thank you! Euro-r swaps have come way down in price compared to years ago. Stay tuned , I have some upgrades coming over winter, I'll post videos when I retune and go back to the track.
Awsome swap, i have the same engine but in a CD7, the Whitefield header tho, dod you have to modify your front cross member? Im having a real tough time having mine installed :'(
I had traction bars, so when I installed the header I had plenty of clearance. If you have the stock front cross member you will have to notch it most likely.
Hell yeah i cant wait i rode in a h22a4 cb7 with t2t4 tranny omg she flew i fell in love ima get the motor first then i wanna try to find the t2w4 trans if not ima go with the t2t4 or m2b4 trans shorter gear oh yeah lol
Yea i had an m2b4 with my 2 prior swaps, m2b4 is pretty good, but definitely get your self a t2w4 if you can, i loooove my t2w4, if not t2t4 is good also. They are all lsd and all way better than any of the f22a transmissions
what's up man. Me again. Finally got everything in and ready. Wanted to know did you splice your connectors for your Egr valve at first or left it unplugged. I know you have it blocked now.
Oh OK. Cool. So I'll be aite. Still haven't start it yet. Waiting for injector jumpers to come. I could not find the OBD1 H22 345cc injectors no where. Will try out of state Salvage Yards but I'll settle for the OBD2 290cc's for now. Man I really appreciate ya. Will do a s/O video when it's all done. Will s/O you and your channel for sure.
Who is your tuner ceelooboob? I have the same h22a euro-r swap and have not had the chance to tune it yet due to a crummy premium basemap from Phearlable.net. My car feels so sluggish and just not hauling ass like you are saying it does.
My tuner is Chris Harris, he owns xenocron tuning, they are in hillburn ny. Awesome guy, very knowledgeable. What mods do you have on your euro r? What chassis is it in? What trans are you using? Definitely get it tuned, the basemap can be one of the things holding you back.
ceelooboob Awesome what do you have on your euro-r engine? I have just a stock euro-r with a cold air intake and EGR deleted. The basemap is junk and makes me feel like I do not even have a euro-r engine just almost slower then a regular h22 engine. I may have to call him to see if he can help em out with anything. I live in California.
thirsk66 MY setup is as follows 2000 Euro-R H22, T2W4 LSD Transmission, AEM V2 Intake with a Blox 4" Velocity Stack Professional products 68mm throttle-body Hondata Intake Manifold Heat Shield Gasket Highend tri-y Header with 2.5" collector Chipped p06 converted to P28 Apexi World Sport II Cat-Back Exhaust (deleted resonator and cat) Eliminated A/C and powersteering Yea the base map isn't going to net you optimal performance out of your setup. Cold air intake is good, get a good header and at least 2.5" exhaust although 3" would be better and get it tuned. should feel much better. There are plenty of great tuners in California that you can go to. Some of the best in the country. Also keep in mind weight, my swap is in a 1990 Accord, much heavier than civics therefore my car isn't as peppy as all the civics with H swaps. Also most civics have H2B setups which give them the advantage of better gearing, those b16 and type r transmissions make those H series motors really go.
ceelooboob Damn that is a nice setup you have I would like to do the same things with mine. How much power did you end up making with all these mods done? I have a 2.5 exhaust just need a nice header to go along with it. Just more money to spend that I do not have at the moment. I really need to get down to my tuner and pay the $350 for the full tune on my setup. So I think with all this being said I need to just take it easy on my engine until I get it fully tuned and stay out of vtec. Also how did you end up using the Hondata thermal intake manifold gasket on your manifold? Did you end up tapping and plugging those 4 injection holes on your manifold, like how Rosko racing showed?
thirsk66 it made 208hp and 158 tq.with that setup. I have a few new mods for this year, my exhaust was definitely holding me back so ill be going back soon once i get everything installed. Yea get your self a good header (plm replicas make deent numbers) and tune it.
I swap this euro r motor to a prelude, but i kept it OBDII i swapped somethings from my old engineso i can past the emission and im using my stock ecu, i wondee if i need the dyno tune up or is not necessary?
wilkin trejo you don’t need to dyno tune , but if you want max power out of your setup then yea you would want to dyno tune to get the full potential out of your setup.
ceelooboob oh ok thanks, but if i dyno tune it do you think that if i take out the max power dont you think i will kill the engine's life quick? Cuz im getting out more power than it have or not?
wilkin trejo no, if tuned properly the engines life expectancy will not be affected. Make sure you go to a good tuner who knows what they’re doing and that they’re not being overly aggressive. A properly tuned motor motor should run better and safer because you’ll know it’s not running to lean which can be dangerous or too rich which would leave power on the table.
yea i converted the motor to OBD1 so i used an obd1 jdm h22a internal coil distributor, obd1 h22 injectors, and my obd1 harness that was originally in my accord. Also used the OBD1 iacv (which i recently deleted)
+ceelooboob What's up. Derrick reaching out from the Carolinas. 93 Cb7 10th Anniversary. I have Euro R with harness and ecu. Could I use obd2 harness and Ecu?
+Shederrickd Hunter my assumption is you'd need a jumper harness or to swap the harness to be able to plug the Ecu in inside the cabin. Really not sure, there's a reason people go obd2 to obd1 and not the other way around. It's much simpler and more tuning options . Try reading up on Honda forums
ceelooboob i saw the other vid of the retune, and was wondering was all that power from this vid 208hp to the other vids 220hp just from changing the header or did you do other bolt on mods?? Because if you got 12hp increase just from a header change i think im going to order me a set from whitfield.. my h23 is currently making 210hp 169ftlbs of torque.
Richard Botellio The P06 is a stock non-vtec Honda ECU. The P06 was basically converted to a P28 (stock Honda vtec ECU). It was also socketed/chipped and the tuning software being used is chrome.Chrome allows for many adjustments/changes besides timing. Check their website out to see the full list of what you can do. There are other options out there also like neptune, ectune. Hondata is very good also.
Your welcome. Speak to your tuner to see what they work with. For a simple setup chrome, ectune, Neptune are fine. Hondata is great just a little more pricey. If you are aiming for a standalone that isn't based off of a stock Honda ecu check out aem or haltech. I'll post new videos as I have updates. Enjoy the swap. It's a great setup for the cb7.
