Have you (or anyone else reading this) had any problems when feeding rounds from the magazine? When pull the bolt back to feed a round, it catches on the brass and gouges the brass from the shoulder all the way to the case head. It doesn’t matter how many rounds are in the magazine. I have to really force the bolt back too. It seems to feed the round into the chamber fine when pushing the bolt forward. I saw on a forum where another guy was having the same issue.
Yea its a problem with this caliber Springfield wont do anything about it. Mine sucks wasted a lot of money. Something inside me told me not to trust Springfield. Never had any of their junky ass guns but went with this Waypoint and now I have a gun just to hang on the wall. It looks good but wont operate worth a damn
Bought mine 4 days ago in 6.5 PRC and it’s doing the same thing failure to feed failure to extract. I read a post about tweaking the AICS magazines to help with the issue but still having the issues. I was able to get it to feed properly but won’t extract properly. I ordered a different magazine to see if it would fix the issue but it seems to be a common problem with 6.5 PRC. In the Hawkins magazine video it says you may have to have a gun smith shave off the feed ramp for those magazines in PRC so idk seems ridiculous you pay 2 grand for a rifle and it won’t feed properly
@scottmowers as I stated below the Amend 2 AICS works flawlessly with this platform. I just got mine in yesterday and it fixed all my feeding and extracting problems. Even the MDT mag I ordered did not fix the issues. Both replacements from SA did not work and dimensions and spring tension were drastically different between them.
Great review nobody else has mentioned the loose mag making so much noise. Does it make the same noise when it’s fully loaded? I’d like to know thanks.
I just did this switch on my 97 4Runner and it works. All lights work. But when I turn my blinkers on they blink really fast, like a bulb is blown. But all the lights work. Is this normal or is there a fix ?
Where at the led fog lights from and what are they called I just built my bumper and was looking for some lights but I couldn’t find and budget friendly ones that fit
When loaded with ammo the metal mag is silent. I have owned one for over a year and I hated that about the 6.5prc cause the 308 and 6.5creedmoor come with composite mags. Load her up and she goes silent. Happy shooting.
I wonder why they didn't talk to you and other hunters so that you tell them about retelling magazine for hunting. May be because it's the first time they are making a hunting rifle. I hope Springfield sees your review and learns from it.
Im in the process of building one of these and the bumper mounting location vs the winch mount location looks a little sketchy. Have you winched with this bumper yet?
Bro I’m a new follower of your channel , can you help me with the link of these guys so I can order this steel bumper for my 3rd gen honestly I’m a beginner with this off road stuff so I’ll appreciate that help
