Running Wild is more than just about getting back to running. It is about allowing your body to move freely and allowing you to enjoy life to the fullest. This is truly a holistic full body approach for your health utilizing chiropractic care, movement education and training programs that is so much more than just running.
My name is Alyssa Salava and I am a chiropractor in Squamish BC. In my free time you can find me running around the mountains, baking something in the kitchen or lounging around doing yoga stretches.
Since I started running I have been plagued with injury after injury. It is both a blessing and a curse... Because with every injury, I have learned so much more about the human body and can apply my knew knowledge to help other runners avoid injuries!
My goal with starting this youtube channel is to provide others with the knowledge that they need so that they can continue to live wild and can enjoy life to the fullest.
This flow was so what I needed at the end of the day from work. I love how you give tips to improve the daily posture and things to be weary of. So helpful!!! Thanks, Alyssa!
Yayyy!! I am glad this is helpful for you. It's almost like I am still in Bend helping you :) If you ever have a specific flow in mind you would like to see, let me know!
Nice job Alyssa, mine wrists and arms are super tight but I have been doing other stuff you have recommended as well and have felt a difference already👍
Nice work Mom!! Hope you are noticing that your hips are starting to open up and your glutes are getting stronger. Keep doing the videos and make sure you try the core flow and and of the more restorative flows (such as hands, feet and chest opener flow).
Nice job DrSalavadava, since I start back to work tomorrow, I will be on a computer more and need to do something because my neck and shoulders are always tight. So I'm gonna try to do these exercises more. I hate feeling pain all the time
I hope working is going well and that you are starting to add the chest opener flow to your weekly routine! Being in pain is no fun, so when you are watching tv make sure you lie on the floor and do some stretches!
Day 1 - Hip Flow Part 2. I'm gonna have buns of steel if I keep doing this series:) My hips are so tight and these exercises feel so nice when you finish.
This was so great, Alyssa! I'm no runner but I love having my hips feel open and loosened up from a day of working and sitting! I look forward to more videos and healing back pain and core strength after birth specifically ;) Oh and I love your teaching style, very calm and soothing!
Thank you so much Kristen for doing my hip flow. I am so excited to create more videos! Calm and soothing are not usually words to describe me, so thank you ;)
