To say that it's made for crazy rich Filipinos is not a good thing to say, the main reason, as for Solaire, is overseas tourists who love to gamble, just like Hann in Clark.
I am really sorry that Koda was hurt by another child. The best way to talk about it is that the other child did not know that only animals bite and sometimes this might happen with other little children. He just got confused and did not mean to hurt Koda. You want to avoid ..the other child was bad. It is too bad the other parent was not close by to help.
Hi Lucy and George....so happy and excited to watching your latest videos again and also the old ones.Take care always and God bless 🙏.... watching from West Coast,USA.
Hey guys! Please don't feel pressured to explore the slums of the Philippines. Many vloggers already do that, and it's embarrassing, to say the least. I'd much prefer watching you explore one bubble to another.
They haven’t seen the other parts of Manila. Only the fancy ones. Try to bring them Manila, rizal park, intramuros, binondo. The rubbish will be in the streets but still good to see the both sides of Manila
You(Lucy) were somewhat featured in the Wall Street Journal(WSJ) it was regarding 7/11 and I think you were in Japan that time... 7-Eleven Is Reinventing Its $17B Food Business to Be More Japanese | WSJ The Economics Of. Timestamp was 3:43 on that video..
That’s why it’s so irksome to watch some vloggers/backpackers who would rather show squalor and slum area then calling manila the pits. Manila is not all depressed areas. And thanks to vloggers like lucy and george for showing what great city manila is.
This has made my day seeing you stay here. We left the most amazing place in Siquijor and dreaded the return back to Manila and all its craziness....we booked Kingsford Hotel and it was fab. Our room was at the end of the corridor on the 12th floor, and it was amazing. The views, the staff, the cleanliness.....all 5*. We loved the sauna and steamroom - only downside, the pool is too small really for a hotel this size but we still enjoyed our time here. If anyone from the UK is reading this, if staying in the city puts you off exploring Manila, definately stay here. Its almost as though you are not in Manila at all. The walk to the Ayala Mall takes about 10 minutes, there are many places to eat around here, transport is easy if you want to explore further. We walked a couple of times to and from the Kingsford to the Mall of Asia. Honestly, I can't recommed this hotel enough....and it was only £35 per night for 2 adults (no breakfast). Shame we stayed in Makati at the start of our holiday as we didn't enjoy it too much, but this hotel would have started our holiday off much better.
We stayed at the Kingsford Hotel and our room looked over to Okada - it looked very grand and palatial. That whole area was a mass development area and I imagine since being home (early May), the Westside Grand is open...that too looked lovely. In fact, that whole area is perfect for first time visitors to Manila, far better than Makati. You can walk to the malls, theres lots of restaurants close by and its within easy distance to the centre of Manila. I am sooo tempted to book a return trip next year......
Yeah, the whole area from D. Macapagal Avenue to Aseana and Entertainment City is really pretty. It's going to be more so in the future with all the reclamation projects in full swing.
That's really cool that they are adaptable and can get comfortable staying at Hotels. I actually met some people who can't stand to stay in a Hotel and they only prefer to be in their own house. It didn't matter how fancy was the Hotel. For them it just wasn't home.
The ordinary below middle class won't be able to enjoy it there, thanks for showing us around thru your vlogs. Last time I was in quezon city areas was 2006.
