I really do love this silhouette that 1.0 Vegeta had, if it wasn’t for the articulation I’d easily prefer it. It’d have been perfect if the armor was just a little bigger cause I can’t see Vegeta’s fitting his hole chest in there haha but i do love that sort of “crop top” look it has for lack of a better term, which is something the 2.0s don’t get right probably because of articulation
Are the face plates swappable between the new goku exclusive and the sayain raised on earth? New medical machine comes with face plate but I wonder if it’ll work with the new goku exclusive..

I do like the premium version a bit more mainly bc the more pure yellow and the neutral skin tone makes his facial features, eyes, eyebrows, and hairline pop more. I do like the shading on the first one but I feel the face shading kinda blends the hairline and eyebrows together with the face a bit too much
I love this figure, I got it a few weeks ago and I can't get enough. Also kinda funny its my first base Goku 😂 The power pole and nimbus are pure DB nostalgia
Imo Minato is still the best of the Narutop99 line, it might be because he´s my favorite character. But, having fabric cloth is really A LOT better than the materials used in Obito and Minato. That itachi figure is incredible
I love my 1.0 figures. The newer ones are great too, but the older ones had so much more detail with shading, paint and effects. The faces aren’t always as good as the newer, but that’s a minor gripe.
Nice review bro Those 1.0 bodys sucks ( for me ) but the first one have such a great paint job 😍 e really like those colors and with a proper 2.0 or 3.0 head it looks even greater. Well done!
There is legit a lot of merit the old shf dbz figures have. And its all down to the paint. Theres so much shading, its all in a beautiful matte finish, even the plastic quality might be a bit better. The sdcc 2011 goku is so sought after for a reason and its not just cause its rare, its damn gorgeous as well.
I think you could get a perfect cell saga ssj vegeta if you use the 1.0 body and paint the 24,000 power namek saga vegeta head to ssj I think it would look really good
Weird that he comes with half drawn Sheath Katana and not Katana With a Sheath which is a bummer lol,plus they can saves money/budget if Bandai make Katana that can be inserted in the sheath like they do with SHF Trunks from Dragonball.Bandai Is now Weird lol
I always thought something was off with the 2.0 vegeta body and I think I figured it out his arms are way too small for those big ass shoulders cause I just noticed the 1.0 arms are thicker from the front compared to the 2.0 which makes no sense cause shoulders in the 2.0 are like twice the size of the 1.0’s which is why the arms on 2.0 vegeta always looked weird/small at least to me they did hopeful whenever a 3.0 for vegeta comes out they fix that problem
Dropping off some bangers ey, 1.0 SHFs are definitely a gem especially that old Scouter Vegeta 1.0! wish I bought him when I had the chance😢, hoping the 1.0 base goku is the next archive review!
The faces/headsculpts on the 1.0 figures is the one thing that turned me off the line back then. They kinda reminded me of the Budokai 1 character models, looking really doughy and soft.
I love the paint job in the earlier dragon ball figures, but I just cannot stand the faces and some of the porportions. That said, it wouldve blown my mind getting these at the time....but they were a bit hard to find.
I think it's part nostalgia, part 2.0 fatigue, part better quality (sometimes), part oodles of accessories (also sometimes), and part some people really like paint. Also, there's a host of characters that only have 1.0s - PCell, Androids, Frieza 4, Z Broly, Z Ultimate Gohan, Z Vegito, Beerus, RoF - which range from "actually fantastic" to "maybe not as bad as I was expecting."
For Vegeta it’s understandable. A majority of his recent figures have been fine at best. Drop down legs work better for his outfit, his chest actually has good shape to it, and all the shading. If it had modern face prints it’d be nearly perfect
my biggest issue is that I wish the collar on the cloak was a little taller since I think it’s at eye level. Also a hat and a crow would’ve put this over the top. I’m just hoping tamashii nations makes a black flames effect
ngl I was super excited for this, but lets be honest, for 90 bucks this figure is fairly disappointing barely any accessories and a terrible bloated cloak. It just looks like he has a puffy jacket on and there are custom ones online that are WAY better. I'm now really nervous for pain cuz its gonna have the same cloak.
I’m pretty happy with this release as an overall figure and I’m glad you showed off itachi in a way that was tame but also exciting to watch. Wonderful review sir eighty-sixed.
