For the record Booby D though he looked like a bit nerdy, like he went to I.T or something was definitely the most underrated D.J's during this dope era of deep (acid) house.
OMG! Thanx so much for posting this. I used to have this entire episode on videotape, but sadly it got lost in the shuffle years after I moved out on my own. I was 17 when I attended this taping of the show (as well as several others) and it was an awesome experience. Unfortunately, this show only lasted a few months. It was Chicago's version of shows like American Bandstand, Soul Train, The Grind, and Club MTV.
Who plays that’s song on 0:57 I been looking for that song for years, I was 9 years old when I heard that song, the one with love can’t turn around that was my jam right there!!!
I noticed most of the vinyl are white labels I wonder if these were custom-made for the show they seem to have short versions on to mix in and out of songs quickly was before the days of auto mixing and mega sampling capabilities. About the best you can do back then was with the good sampling mixer like the MTX line the MX600 To this day is still one of my favorite mixers
Adam Donmez all those “white label” records are promos. They were not shorter versions. What he was doing was use 2 copies of the same record to shorten the song for the fast mix
