Really, a very detailed, clear and informative tutorial! This is a gorgeous game, which initially looks difficult, but it is not. It is easy to learn and very involving and entertaining! 🚀😻😻
Just picked this up and our first couple plays were a lot of fun! The components are above average and the three variants/mini-expansions will surely add extra re-playability. The only thing we may change slightly in future plays is how many "cosmic failures" that are allowed - 11 seemed to cause the game to go a little long (at least for 4-player) - lowering this to "nine lives" might be a better sweet spot and more fun thematically.
Played this at Bournemouth Beach Head and had a lot of fun with it, picked it up immediately from one of the stalls there. great game and the advanced variants add a bit of extra spice after a few games of the standard mode. The rules are easy to explain and even people without much gaming experience should get the hang of it after a couple expeditions. Really good quality product as well.
Hello,after boss creature is "spawned" (2:00) why you add more monsters to visited tiles?? I was thinkng only for unexplored tiles must be add monster tile. Thank you for explain.
Amazing game, bought it 2 weeks ago and now we playing it few matches every day. It is our family favorite board game now. Every playthru is an nice adventure , I think its is very good balance of exploration, fighting, planning, upgrading and luck , its never feel boring or unfair even if You loosing.

@@rebelstudiogames Hi there. Yeah, i have Meadow and haven't played it yet. Waiting to move o'seas before opening it up. I found it confusing cos so many rules, one after the other....yet I am new to board games so it could very well be me needing to catch up with modern-day ones 🙂

I liked the style of humor! I think it was the pacing and execution that needed work. I don't think you should scrap this approach. Instead, just polish it a bit.
I also don't like it and neither did my roommates but the thing is nowadays nobody wants to be negative or say anything that can offend anybody... Especially in the gaming community. So it was not funny but I felt if I said something I was gonna get bullied for it. So when I saw this comment I felt relieved.
We love Meadow, and recently picked up Downstream, but this adventure book is... I don't know, a huge miss. This is the last thing we want for a game like this, it's not even on the list of everything we could imagine liking as an addition.

Thanks for the kind words! Right now we are using all our power to work on Avel: the Card Game, so there is no new expansion for Chronicles of Avel in development proces right now. But we never say never :) Maybe you have some interesting ideas for future expansions that you will like to share? And yes, we are reprinting Adventurer's Toolkit so it should be easier to get soon :)
@@rebelstudiogames That's fantastic news! We have a few ideas of possible expansions! - A different map could mix things up! - Bonus Toughness. These could be from new potions or magic. They could be in the shape of a shield with the inside hollow, so that it fits on top of the Heart toughness markers - A new character template that fits in the character square. This new template could fit new equipment items instead of the standard helmet/sword/shield/boots. It could be suited for other classes, like maybe a magician or a bard, instead of a warrior. Their weapons could have support effects for other players, etc. They could also have their own separate dice if necessary. - It would be cool to see more of the story of Oberon and Titania. Maybe more characters they know of. Perhaps even a character named Avi (I had to try). It would be super cool to expand more on all of the stuff with the different moons as well! - Small customisable minion/familiar boards. There's been pets and creatures, but it would be cool to have a familiar or minion that we can customise along with our character. These are all just random ideas and you can feel free to take any forwards! We have tons more but I don't want to overwhelm!
Never mind I figured it out by reading the instructions on the box piece from the first game!! Thank you for making these, my family love Avel so much! Really wish we could get the Adventure Toolkit, but I can't seem to find it anywhere!
Great video and nice explanation :) :) I have a question: if one of the characters, during a movement action, moves to a tile containing a monster, is the character forced to stop and/or fight the monster? Thanks :)
Hi Michele! Happy to hear that the video is helpful for you. Regarding your question: the character can pass through and/or stop on the tile with monster and is not forced to fight the monster. It's always a player decision to strat the fight.
