I love your video and currently trying to run all 50 states also but just the half marathons! Congratulations on your run and I will be running the Detroit half marathon in 2024. So excited. I hope you don't mind me asking but how to carry your GoPro for filming the whole time? Just with your hand or do you use a stick or chesty? I'm wanting to use my GoPro but find it would be difficult to hold the whole 13 miles to film. Im not sure what the best option would be. Thanks for your help:)
We’re struggling with getting in the strength training too. I’m so glad that that we were able to get the shirt for you! It was meant to be. Enjoyed the video, as always 😃
Congratulations on the improvement from Chicago. I ran ACM in 2018. As far as nutrition, I eat nothing during races. My stomach just stops working during the race. Breakfast 2 hours before race is 4 waffles. Chinese buffet the night before. Golden Corral works ok too. I don't bonk anymore.
Getting back to strength training is something we’re struggling with, even though we know how much it helps. Ah, humidity…thy a heartless bitch🤣 Cheers to another cycle of Goofy Challenge training🧡💙💚
Why is strength training so hard to be consistent with??? I just find it so boring lol. Can't wait to see how much you both will FLY once the weather cools off down in FL!
Yay, Goofy vlogs are back!! Those 2022 marathon Weekend medals are to this day my FAVORITE runDisney medals! 🤩 I'm sure Snowy is ready for the fall weather so she can join you for more runs.
Congrats! That scenery was stunning! Have you done Wyoming yet, or any races at altitude? I am considering the Run with the Horses Marathon, but coming from below sea level, I'm worried about finishing.
Yay!! I've been so excited to see your Revel recap. Congrats on an incredible proof of time!! 🤩 I am super interested in trying a downhill race, so if they bring it back I'll have to take a trip out east.
Congrats on state 27 😃 The shirt with everyone’s name on it is really cool, but the medal holder that Steph made for you is 🥰.Looked like a beautiful sunrise. Seems like you got to run through some nice areas. That medal will fit in perfectly with your collection.
Hi Riley! I saw you in another person’s RU-vid channel who was videoing this race too!!! His channel is called Clint is a Tall Runner and you’re right behind him during the national anthem 😂 My wife and I just finished running the Grand Teton’s Half Marathon as well as Coeur d’Alene Idaho the weekend before. If you haven’t run Idaho yet, check this one out…beautiful course…happy running in the heat 😂
Ahhh that’s so funny! I found his channel when looking for previous years vlogs for this race! I’ll have to go watch his recap from this year 😂 That’s so amazing! Coeur d’Alene is 100% on my list for Idaho! I drove through that area and did a hike out there the same week I did the Missoula Marathon and knew I had to come back as soon as I learned they had a marathon!
@@rmfickfack Missoula is on our list for Montana as well. Unfortunately some of these areas are so difficult to get to…so remote! Best of luck on your summer training. I ran the Lakefront Marathon years ago. Great finish area!
No worries! I work full time and all travel is self funded. I do have an airline credit card so occasionally I can book flights with points. I used to be an ambassador for BibRave and they would cover the costs of some of my race registrations - any race you’re seeing me wearing orange is typically a BibRave race and they covered the registration costs in exchange for a review! Everything else is covered by me. You can travel on the cheap if you’re smart about it, don’t mind budget flights/hotels, and split costs with friends where you can 😊 Maybe I’ll do a race travel budgeting video in the future!
Boston weekend looks so magical. That 5k looks packed! Overall they seem to be really well organized though. You're awesome for volunteering and making so many runner's experience at Boston so memorable! 🤩
Ahhh good luck! You'll enjoy it! I got my Garmin bands from Amazon. There's a pack of about 10 different colors that I got. Since there's a top band and bottom band, you can mix and match colors :)
Wow! That’s a lot of people for the 5k. Do you know how big the field is? That sounds like something Bank of America would require 🙄 I’ve never been a fan of them. That is an awesome jacket! Sounds like it was a great experience!
It looks like the 5K field was set to 10,000 runners this year! So large for a 5K! Totally agree about BoA! I love the jacket! It definitely was a great time :)
Great video--I've run the race in 2016, 2018, and 2020--sad I missed out on 2022 because I really love that finishers medal! One small thing. The name of the town at the start of the race is pronounced pass "chris chee ann" not "chris chin." It's a weird pronunciation and at least you said "Biloxi" correctly, which definitely is a much bigger faux pas!
I love the book The Miracle Morning by Hal Elrod. His morning tasks are really good for starting the day, and I love it. I don’t do all 6 everyday but I find it incredibly motivation. I highly recommend it. Hang in there - you’re an amazing person and will get through this. Just a little bit at a time.
Congratulations! Great run!!! Thank you so much for this video. I’m running the Detroit marathon in 2024 and this is the perfect mile by mile introduction. Good luck on your future races!
The discipline you have is inspiring, but you have been on a non-stop training cycle since we’ve been following you 😳. You deserve a much needed break.
Even though you're burned out, you're still a rockstar on these runs! Brett might cringe that I'm suggesting this, but I have found strength training so much more doable when I started using RU-vid videos! It helps me because it's a set amount of time to do the workout. When I'm just given exercises I dilly-dally because I hate it 😂 the videos keep me moving. I love Caroline Girvan, Sydney Cummings, Heather Robertson, and Nourish Move Love.
