Wasn't that easy, I had to unclip from old connector and then crimp new pins for the male connector which was where the issue was because the gauge of the wire is so thin and it just wasn't making a tight enough connection to the new pins.
Hey man cool vid. I have the same bike but I going for a full blackout look. I do like your front and rear crash bars and boards. Are the mini Thrashin boards? I’m also going to put on the Advan black bags. I currently have TBR 2 into one but I’m changing them to some short shots. Cheers dude from Oz
Makes me feel like I need to be careful about something, but I'm not sure what. I plan on adding some tip over protection to my LRST but I'm beginning to think that attaching anything to the fairing support comes with risk. It seems like having three screws to attach the bracket to the frame might induce some torsional moment and subsequent flex when the bike and fairing accelerate vertically. Nice bike.
@@WeRide2 yea they replaced my buddies super fast. I would ask then if they have an update version for your bike cause i no from the fxlrs theres an update version.
It'd be cool if someone 3d modeled a replacement cover for these proprietary HJC intercom systems, but without these wave'ish patterns. That way it would be easy to stick a adhesive intercom mount for any other brand right over that
I bought the tcmt one. 2 things: 1) order the mounting plate. Its like $40 and goes on the inside to shore up the mounting. Thats what those holes on the inside sides are for. 2) the corners are a little thin and that's what is contributing to the preceived build qualify aside from the hinges. There's a fix for this though: A) buy a 1/16 abs plastic sheet from amazon for $5. Cut it into pieces and put it in a mason jar with acetone. Let it sit for 2-3 days this creates abs slurry B) use a brush and brush the abs slurry into the creases. It will dissolve and become one with the abs trunk, effectively adding abs material in the corners and preventing bend.
Well for one, when you purchase new Harley states that the first oil change is critical as there may be metal shavings in the engine from factory (from newly machined parts for example), the second reason being metal shavings in the oil from normal engine wear and tear, where moving parts like bearings and crankshafts chip off small metal particles over time (as stated by UTI), thirdly in the event of an engine failure where let's say an internal part breaks leaving debris in the engine, and finally in the event you do engine work like a big bore kit where again the chance of debris is introduced into the engine. So is it necessarily needed? That's up to the owner of the motorcycle. For me if I'm spending 20k on a bike what's another $150 at that point for a little more peace of mind.
LOL $150 dip stick, that's hilarious! You could just wrap wire around your OEM stick and connect to each end of a battery for 3 minutes, there ya go a magnetized dip stick for FREE!
@@WeRide2 lol, I remember doing it to screw drivers back in the day, actually not a bad idea for a video. Maybe I'll order a spare dipstick just in case things go bad. 🤣
I like where this is going. I wonder how long the wire would stay magnetized. If not maybe a magnet from a small tweeter dangling by the end of the stick? What's the worst that can happen?
You may want to consider the Simpson Mod Bandit. Def not as quiet as this one but for my face this has the least amount of cheek smash... Review coming on it soon.
Thank you! It's a robert becker designs seat lock. Here's the link, it's a little pricey but its really good. If you're looking for just an orange bolt you can check out either Original Garage Moto or Crossthread Cycles. robertbeckerdesign.com/seat-lox-orange/
I don't know yet.. This material is different from other bar bags that I've owned so i have high hopes. But Texas sun is like Florida sun so I guess time will tell.
i think the real irritating issue is after buying the CC from harley and installing myself....they want $50 more to enable it....FU. il buy a PV4 n have it enabled..
Did you have any problems tuning the 62mm with the 114 motor? I have close to the same setup. A 114 with the hpi 62mm throttle body and hpi 62mm intake, rs 468 cam and 5.5 injectors. My tuner is telling me that it’s way too much for the 114 and doesn’t even want to full with it. That it isn’t going to run right. Hpi actually recommends the 62 for a 114. I’m trying to figure out if he is thinking from a twin cam mentality.
To my knowledge my tuner had no problem with it, if anything the bike has a little more twitchier throttle response. Along those lines George Bryce (Star Racing) has a video on the impacts of large throttle bodies and the M8 engine. Check it out: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-xnE-B4tyNNQ.html
I like the memphis shades road warrior faring the best. I can't stand the bigger faring's!! I love that faring u have on there right now looks perfect on that bike nice and sleek.
The pipes alone shouldnt void the warranty. If you get it tuned by any device other than a screaming eagle tuner maybe. But depending on the tuner you could always preload the stock tune before you brought it to the dealership.
Have the same bike and just fitted the arlen ness big sucker version, i havent took it for a test ride as its raining heavily here in the uk, do you notice a different in engine running or any thing else, i got it to go with my v&h big radius exhaust
