It’s the way I battled through the first chapter of November 9 AND STILL gave it away to a friend bc I just couldn’t stand to see it on my shelf and I still feel bad for the friend who I gave it to bc ik she suffered battle wounds…
Honestly I would put Harry Potter and the cursed child in the category right to jail, as you said it has to be one of the most poorly written books that has ever been written. The plot is basically just childish fanfiction. Worst of all it doesn´t even understand the source material. Probably, my second or third most hated book, would be The invisible life of Addie Larue, because there is one book that might be worse than that, but I believe it´s only published in my native language. Addie Larue was so horribly boring, so I guess I would put it into the category bombastic side eye, lol. Someone called it on goodreads the insignificant life of Addie Larue and I was like YES. Imo the only character that was interesting in any way, was the darkness or whatever his name was, and perhaps Robbie, but hardly. I felt like the other characters had no personalities, and I didn´t care if they lived or died. Addie is a Mary Sue, there was no growth or character development there at all, and I can´t decide which one I found more dull, Henry or Addie. It was my first and only V.E Schwab book that I´ve ever read, but I was thinking I would like to give her one more chance, by starting the Villains series some time in the near future, because the characters seem quite interesting.
The first story in “before the coffee gets cold” made me ugly sob so hard because I related to god damn hard and it validated my struggles. It’s the rare feeling that while I know it’s not the case, but it felt like it was made specifically with me in mind
This is my first time ever watching one of your videos. But I need to tell you that you are so smart. Your analysis of these books and movies is very well thought out and worded. If you ever go to college, I could definitely see you being an English Literature Major. Seriously the amount of skill you have in this craft is astounding.
I loved the serpent and the wings of night. When vincent died it crushed me for days. You go through so many emotions with this one. Love, betrayel, regret, revenge....
If you miss Avatar, and want a show that is spiritually similar, understands the importance of slow character building, charm, having a group of characters that actually love each other and have great chemistry, amazing women, and women villains, men that aren't toxic, and genuinely slow love and concern for one another, don't watch the live action...watch Teen Titans...or Rise of the TMNT. They're fantastic shows, especially ROTTMNT, that deserve WAY more support then the live action ATLA ever did. So many great animated shows get slept up because they're unknown, or because they're...well...cartoons. Which sucks, because they have so much greatness to offer.
no because i love the royalty regency stuff so that's what i expected in the selection but i dropped it because the leads are boring and the female lead's name is funny
Girl, I have read all of these mangas and I LOVED them. I am a huge manhwa and manga reader and I have been reading them for a few years. One thing I just love about them is how creative the plot is and how innovatively they are written.
Legendborn is OUTSTANDING. I believe it is the magnum opus of several genres, specifically YA fantasy, YA urban fantasy, YA mythological retelling, and YA dark academia. This book means so much to me I can’t put my love for it into words.
19:05 that is so true. But for me personally, in my experience we don't really get devestating turns in our life romantically until every subtly quite sadness seeps in and sort of becomes a turning point of realisation that hits you out of nowhere. Which is what I loved about Past lives and that's why it feels so accurate and realistic almost. P.s- I have loved subtle acting, realism and quite movies all my life. So if anyone have recs on that, I would love that!
Hmmm. . . there are lots of books and movies I don't like, but I don't say they "shouldn't exist." I've noticed you say that a lot. Yet you say you don't support censorship. Interesting.
I'm not able to finish books that I hate so much I'd call "Straight to Jail" or "Crimes Against Literature." Life is too short. That said, some of my DNF's are on this list, but then again, so are some of my 4 and 5 star reads! :D
I also cried with Funny Story but because Miles Nowak didn’t just break Daphne’s heart but mine as well. Daphne forgave him but I still can’t get over it 😂
actually, I think the worst change for me in this show was the fact that Katara always somehow is giving the water bending scroll by someone.......KATARA STOLE IT!!! That is such a huge character development and I'm tired of people changing it! They did Katara dirty in this show
I am rereading this series. Just finished the second book and I live for Cordelia and James! This was me the whole book. The end omg!!! 😭 its in the little moments with them two that bring me to my knees! May be exaggerating a bit but I need the third book now!!!
i'm the definition of a hozier local, but when going through my goodreads, i found The Dark Tide by Alicia Jasinska which is witchy and oceanic and gay, so i feel like that fits. wasn't a huge fan of the book myself but maybe you'll like it!
when inej copy the map in the stealing scene , if you copy map like that it'll come out reversed and mirrored 🤦 i was like how stupid the director is !! also kaz scene washing his hands then without drying it put it in gloves. the show had alot of stupid things !
Holly Jackson is on my shit list rn. I just binge read good girls guide to murder and as good as dead was a nightmare and i am so mad because i enjoyed the first two.
Divine rivals is so so so good, like I’ve read a lot of books this year and loved a lot of books this year but divine rivals still makes me so excited and interested just hearing about it. It stands above the rest for me
The Infernal Devices ia an ACTUAL love triangle. Jem loves Will AND Tessa. Will loves Tessa AND Jem. Tessa loves Jem AND Will. These three would live for each other, and die for each other. The ending was just so perfect and SO right.
This was so motivational! I loved Funny Story as well and totally feel exactly the same about it vs. Happy Place too. I think a sort of a comp rec would be Happily Never After by Lynn Painter. Not as much depth as an Emily Henry tbh but still great characters to follow and always hilarious as heck.
