Hey, I'm Kent, do you have a few things that you have been meaning to get fixed at home? A leaking tap? A squeaky door? Then you and I have got something in common and that’s why this channel is for you.
I would love to give you the courage to take on a repair and for you to feel the same pride and satisfaction that I do when you get something fixed.
I have lots of good videos around home maintenance that have helped thousands of people so far, and a new tutorial video each fortnight.
And just like you probably do, I work a day job, I also have kids and a working wife, and in so during our busy schedule when I get to knock something off the list, I find that I get a feeling of satisfaction, i learn something cool (and useful) and my family saves money by me doing it myself.
Click the subscribe button, it’s free and I look forward to you joining me in the next video, Kent
As soon as l heard G'day l knew l was in the right place. Retirement Village wont fix it, can afford a plumber so putting on my big girl pants and giving it a crack.
Great work Kent. My shower door however had two screws, both inaccessible because of the top shower cover plate. By standing on my step ladder and forcing the top cover plate up with my shoulder I removed the top of the shower door from its' hinge which gave me access to the adjustment screws. Adjusted, replaced, perfect. Thanks again.
I'm soooooo confused, in my paper instructions nowhere (or in your video) does it say anything about soapy water , paper instructions don't say anything about scraping windows...only says spray with water and apply to window, peel film...im frustrated...even your instructions don't explain it well
Hi Kent, Im a sorta newby in the DIY stakes but gaining confidence with the types of stuff youve shown here with the taps(indoor and outdoor). Changing the washers and cleaning the faucet with new o-rings, I did that to a couple of my taps. I do have one tricky job to do yet...my laundry tap(same sorta thing as your kitchen tap replacement video) would be super simple BUT... the damn nut under the sink looks to be RUSTED ON !! Bugger. I might have to 'muscle' that one off to extract the culprit I reckon. I have stop valves on my laundry tap so water fountains shouldnt be happening. I dont have proper plumber tools for that nut so like yourself...Im going to use an extension on my ratchet socket set...should sort it. BTW..Kent, it just so happens your name + surname by coincidence are my FIRST TWO names! ... (not my surname though). My initials are KTB. I had to look twice to see that Google wasnt playing tricks on me in the name thing... ps..your vids are super clear to watch and understand. Now if I could just figure out why my shower has the least pressure in my whole house it'd be a perfect world. I had a plumber in and he did a new kitchen tap install and all my tap washers too at the time, but he couldnt tell me a good reason on the shower (lack of) water pressure. Other bathroom taps have great pressure! ....... cheers to ya. 😁
Great video! Have a question... A local store has the roll sizes of 17.5 x 78.7 or 23.6 x 78.7. If My window is 45 inch tall 58 inch wide, which size roll of window film should I get? Thank you!

Thank you, that is exactly what I was searching for. I could not find the best way to trim the edge of the window film. You encouraged me! It was worth a cup of coffee.
When the tap falls over that's when you go "HONEY!...HONEY!...HONEY!... ... Barry, you want 5 bucks? Hold this for a minute!" I have a very old tap, it looks like it has an upside down T shape to connect hot and cold to, to get them to their respective taps. I wanted to replace with a mixer tap like this. Someone said I need a converter, but it looks to me like I need to take the converter out, although I'm not sure how I would do this. Would this work in theory? Never changed a tap before.
Thanks a lot! It really helped me in solving the problem. In this video, every single problem related to the hinges has been covered and solution to the same has been discussed in very simple to understand manner.
Thank you for showing me how to do this. Don’t know how bottom hinge came off but it saved me so much time and worry to fix with your video! Bless you.
Hey man great video! Quick question, if I have a split tap system, and want to change it to a mixer, could I follow the same instructions, but plug the split tap holes with those lil stainless steel domes?
Thanks very much. Very in-depth and intricate video tutorial.I'm going to install on my office window as I have colleagues peeping into my office and scuttling away.
Very bad advice, you should never use silicone to seal up a plug waste, The next plumber who needs to replace that plug waste will do a lot of damage just getting the part off, you should use the seals along with Plummers Mait-Please no one ever use silicone to seal up such things unless your willing to take the chance of having to replace the sink as well.
