First off, your makeup looks stunning today! When I saw the Coca Cola collab, I was excited to check it out. I don’t do TikTok, and I’m not going to add another rabbit hole to fall down just to shop for items I already know I don’t need. If it works for the company, good for them. I know they’re not losing sleep over me and I definitely won’t lose sleep over them.
I didn’t like inside out 2 because of Anxiety (character). I suffer from anxiety too and they did such a good job depicting the emotion that I felt like I was going to have a panic attack myself. It was so hard to finish watching the movie. That said it was a really good movie and my kid loves it.

You had me laughing about not getting the cinnamon sugar lip thingy (technical term 😅) because you will eat it. I am still laughing at the last time. 😂 I am on a no buy, and it sucks. I am enjoying my Boxycharm, and he let me get the Colourpop Boo next week. The box you got and reviewed. With palettes I don't have. 😂 I keep saying no more, buying eyeshadow for a long time them I get the colourpop ones. I find it hilarious because I also got the Huda Beauty Empowered and honest thought I will try it because that dude one she did was patchy and yucky. Empowered was on Boxycharm, so it was a beauty boost for 25$. I love it so much. One shade that is a cream dried out, but if I wanted, I can chisel... no, too, risky.... I can scrap a layer. I wish brands would release items at the same time at all their retailers. Only being able to buy something at ulta and another at sephora is annoying. Just put it out. Anyone else???
I think it was smart of Giselle to launch on tik tok shop because imagine all the hastle and money she put into the Coke Cola collab and finding out you can't promote through your influencers and creators. She had to do something to recoup some of her coin. I do not have tik tok, but if it was a way to create hype around the products without background checks and who knows what else. Good call.
The day of the dead is a special holiday for me. We remember those that came before us in a general sense but also set up an alter with all the photos of our family that have passed on and visit the cemetery if we are able to and there is always a procession between the church and the cemetery. You light candles and pray for the souls of your departed relatives and prepare their favorite dishes. Put out their favorite flowers/decorations and display any keepsakes. We use it as a time to remember all the happy things and to ensure that none of those that passed before us are forgotten. The legend is that on the day of the dead if your family remembers you and displays a keepsake or photo you can come back to earth for a visit for that one day.
That sucks that it only released it only during the live. I don’t buy many collections… at all but I would have bought this. I’m okay with releasing stuff on tictok but ppl work and can’t sit on their phones and watch lives all day. Like me I can’t be on my phone at work. That’s reality stupid
EXACTLY!!! I work at a hospital. I have patients to take care of. I’m not sitting still in one place for even 10 minutes at a time let alone 8 hours to sit in front of a screen and watch a live on TikTok. Can you imagine laying in a hospital bed waiting to get your meds and nobody’s coming because they’re on effin TikTok. Not cool. Not all of us have the luxury of working from home/being in front of a screen all day. In addition to that I don’t have or want TikTok to begin with. My adhd attention span is bad enough as it is I don’t need to make it worse with TikTok
Oh Glamlite.... We need to talk lol. I'm not digging the QVC/infomercial vibes of this launch. The tablet, bag, and cash giveaways turned me off. I guess it works for their younger customer base and they are putting their effort into that demographic. They have a company to grow. I have a lot of Glamlite products, but my enthusiasm for the brand is dissipating. I haven't been happy with their release schedule around Fall/Halloween for the past several years. It's not fun to receive a Halloween collection in November when you want to wear it for spooky season. This Coca Cola collection is another white/red/black color story which they have done variations of this already (Red Velvet Cake, Betty Boop, Nightmare on Elm Street etc.). They are also releasing a Ghost Face Part II that Giselle teased (the two rows she showed were red). I have to drastically reduce my makeup spending and that means most things don't make the cut. I'm moving towards items I find special or interesting (Unearthly Gargoyle palette, Bella Beaute Bar Vamp palette, Wicked Widow Beauty The Crow collection, duochrome highlighters/lipglosses) instead of repetitive collections. Glamlite also eluded to a Bratz collab and possibly another Barbie collab. I love the brand, but I feel the creativity is suffering 😬
I'm not here for Glamlite trying to create false urgency with their products. No way am I joining tiktok just to buy some freakin' makeup. And hey, I get it, the goal of companies is to make money but when they start doing things like this (exclusive for a tiktok live only), then it makes me think they only care about going viral, not about putting out quality products. I'm not saying I won't buy anything from Glamlite in the future but any brand looking to cultivate a customer base that would probably be found fighting over Stanley cups (or whatever the FOMO product of the week is) isn't really a brand that I'm going to get excited about.
Totally agree!! I’m a Glamlite lover!! I buy every launch, the full PR boxes and have purchased from them since the pizza palette and this is not cool. I don’t have TikTok and I don’t want it. Really disappointing 😊

I wonder the toy makeup might be geared towards moms who don’t want their kids messing with their real makeup as an alternative to the whole sephora kid phenomenon??? I would’ve had so much fun with this as a kid. My grandma had little display cases all over her house with miniature products she used to let me play with. She just liked miniatures and used to set up little scenes based on her mood and the seasons/holidays as a fun creative art hobby.
I still have several shoeboxes of my grandmas miniatures and I display them along with her photos on the day of the dead. I lost her as a teen too. I still miss her. She was so smart and loving and so much fun. I was super lucky to have her
I hate that for Glamlite. I don't intend to get Tic tok and makes me want to spend my money other places. I mean, I love supporting a Latina owned business, and I'm sure my coins mean nothing in the larger scheme, but I'm still disappointed.
