The ByUs palette kinda makes me feel icky. Like, so little effort went into the cringy packaging, palette name, and even company name. Like it screams, "we can literally sell you anything, you makeup hoarder!" Almost like laughing their way to the bank. These brands know how to do cute and playful, but in a way that an adult won't be embarrassed to pull it out or be seen with it.

I guess I don’t understand the By Us brand. I like Oden’s Eye but I find even their packaging to be on the more immature side; so to make it bigger, clunkier, and uglier is a wild decision 🤣

That Byus palette definitely looks like children's makeup

I'm not trying to be a Debbie downer or whatever but how are you going to say your not feeling the packaging on that by us, but you LOVE glamlite? Lol Girl, they got the tackiest bulky packaging out of any makeup company. 😂 just saying the thought that went through my head.

I hate that by us palette. I said the same thing too on insta. I'm 40 amd makeup is an experience. I don't want something that looks to come from toys r us!

For me packaging isn’t everything, I would rather they spend the money on the formula, if the makeup works, they could put it in cardboard lol 😂 not that packaging can’t be cute 🥰 but you know what I mean ❤

The By Us palette packaging reminds me of Garbage Pal Kids. I would never buy a palette that looks like that. All the looks came out amazing!

Loved all of the looks but that Paleo look was incredible!!

The by us pallete is too chunky for me. I have very limited space because my makeup collection is so big that fitting all my palettes is difficult already and especially not something that thick. So i have to pass lol Also that alter ego palette, tbe brown you used is way way darker than the ND palette.

I know I say this every time, but you never cease to amaze me on how you make such beautiful eyelooks. It helps that you are beautiful to begin with lol. Thank you for always being honest.

I don’t mind the By Us palette, the color story is nice and let’s be real, there’s lot of makeup brands that put out cartoon palettes which I think are childish. So it’s blending in with all the other childish packaging and collabs out there lol. That alter ego palette is a great dupe!

Lol, yes - I hate the "by us" esthetics! Too expensive and creepy looking to be for kids, so it's just ugly .

For me, no one does a color story like Gourmand Girls but I find I get so much fall-out and their shadows can be difficult to blend. I know you were struggling with your eye watering and a maintenance crew there but that Paleo look came out stunning. I completely agree with you about the packaging of the ByUs Palette. Oden's Eye does such phenomenal packaging, why is their sister company doing packaging that looks like a 1980s tween designed it? I'm having second thoughts about picking it up even though I do like the color story. What's the deal with the pentagons next to the rectangles? I'm experiencing a visceral reaction to it. I do like really enjoy this style videos but considering your eye was watering and your skin was saying enough, maybe you shouldn't do them in the future?

I actually said "yesss!" when I saw the title! I am so happy you did this, and would love to have more videos like this, even if you did it with older palettes or palettes that are still new-ish, but you just feel you haven't played enough with!😍🤗 Just because I was in the mood to give my own opinions (Will edit, when I go through the video, since I have to go to bed, in the middle of it😂): >Palette 1, ByUs - Garden Delight palette: I am in between the brands decisions and your opinion. I see what they want from the brand, for it to be more fun, instead of having a more serious story / theme behind it. But I agree with you that it got too childish.... I think if they either did the characters and a more plane background, to make the character designs pop a lot more (so they don't look like it was drawn by a child), or made the colorful background, but made the characters a lot simpler and distinctive. It was just too much, but I love the idea of the brand, and can't wait to see where they go with this. Also agree that they shouldn't have made it that thick (although, if it has been done, so it would be shipped safer, then I could live with it), but also the fact that it was too much space. I think you could still make the fun fonts for the shade names, without having that extra space.). BTW: Your look was amazing! I saw it in a previous video, and I couldn't NOT notice it, like wow, so creative and fun! >Palette 2, Alter Ego - Daylight palette: I am surprised how good looking that palette was. I don't know if it's the pans, or the placement of the shades, but something made even me, someone who NEVER wear neutrals, be interested (until I saw the swatches, and saw how bad the shimmers look, and how neutral it was, but still impressed that they were able to make it that interesting looking in the palette) I am happy though, that this brand does what it does, even though it's borderline illegal.... It's still awesome for people in the same place, money wise, as I have been my entire life. >Palette 3, Blend Bunny x Little Miss, Never misses palette: I love the concept, and if the shades in the row would have been the exact tone, but bigger contrast between dark and light, I would've considered buying it. I think if Blend Bunny continues to do as similar things to this, that they should at least try and play with the packaging. For example my favorite palette from them, Lure! Good packaging, still the same concept of light to dark, with shimmer fitting each row, but still a curated color story. >Palette 4, Gourmande girls - Gourmandise: I love this palette and concept! Although with my preference, I would have loved 1 row more (5 more shades) that were pastels, so it could've been the best stand alone pastel palette, which most pastel palettes aren't (the only one I have found is Ice Cream Dream by Glamlite, but even that one, could have made the pastels, more pastel, because on my skin, they are a tiny bit too dark) I love the fact that even though it's a pastel palette, that it still have contrast, and the shimmers are gorgeous! >Palette 5, Clionadh cosmetics - Paleo: I love this palette, and actually can't think of anything wrong with it, other than I would've loved more shades, so some more blue shades to make it more colorful within the mattes as well. It's not often, I don't have a critique, but I actually don't here😅🤔🤷🏽‍♀

I audibly gasped when u put that turquoise blue metallic next to that dark brown matte, girl- I LOVE that combo in clothing, jewelry, now apparently in makeup as well, lolz!!!!!
