I make videos about Magic the Gathering - Puzzle Quest, a mobile game. My videos feature high level gameplay, advice, pack opening, Planeswalker reviews, and fun shenanigans. If you enjoy Magic, the Gathering, Puzzle Quest, or both together check me out!
It seems the combo was fixed recently. Now it stops after several Sentinels fetching (8 or so) and doesn't fill new Sentinel with mana fully. Of course, you can continue loop next turn, but sometimes an opposing player destroys the Myr or Shaman at that moment.
How do I craft him in MTGA? It says: "This card cannot be crafted using wildcards." I only play Historic, which I understand is the only legal format he can be used in now. I've never seen this 'cannot be crafted' before. What alchemy packs can I still purchase that could contain him? Thanks anyone who sees this.
Hey, thanks for checking out my channel and leaving the comment. I play and post content on the mobile title “Magic puzzle quest”. I don’t actually play Magic Arena so I’m unable to answer that question for you, sorry. If you ever want to check out a new Magic title and if you have questions about Puzzle Quest feel free to ask!
havent seen it much honestly, i think it scares too many players and rightly so, got it used against me late game and i saw it cast so i stopped changing gems but dang it hurt and i have stolen it using oko and dang it was satisfying to watch them sink fast in a meta deck. Me i am hoping to get one badly, just to screw with the meta players.
Got it used agaisnt me again last night, it seems to cap out at around-10 agaisnt the caster it was in a deck thay had alot of gem changers, creatures and supports and spells and their minus nevercwent below -9. Not sure if it a glitch or intentional
hello again nalthazar, been a while, life happened, got hacked lost my facebook and mtgpq account started again and i have to say i am suprised you dont take a perverse pleasure in beating people with their own cards. i bought the new oko thanks to your review and dam that is one of my most used pw. especially in the events so many use the same meta cards so just playing and stealing their cards means i get to club them to zero with them. i might suggest jolene plundering pugilist it helps keep the gold tokens up with each attack so use ability 3 to start it and most every turn you can get a few cards to sort ,and use or discard as needed. marchesa dealer of death activates crime so you can go straight to ability 3 and helps keep any creatures they do get out in check. add tumblewagg and the battle is over before most can get theirs started. didnt see a review of dack fayden though, i am curious about your thoguths on him as a pw, i am liking him so far. i am using connecting the dots, felix five boots, agrus kos, and resilient road runner. although any double striker with felix will draw you 2 copies every turn with connecting the dots bringing out supports like assimilation aegis, game over very fast. his first ability seem to work great to feed mana into getting it set up the 3rd one is honestly overkill. your thoughts would be appreciated.
I am jealous of your Felix and sorry to hear about what you’ve gone through lately. I will be posting something on Dack in the near future I hope. I’ve gotten all of my testing done with him and I definitely like him. I’m excited to share my favorite deck with him. Those are good ideas for the deck. You are right that players seem to be using more of the powerhouse cards lately, so in a lot of my matches I was getting things like Ghalta and Atraxa, which was nice.
You don't need to worry as much about putting the meta cards in your deck if you can count on them trying to use them agaisnt you, you can just steal theirs.
It is fine found out I didn't need the Facebook drama in my life and all I am really missing is from the lost account are some of the old cards which I have replaced with new and a good bit more powerful ones. If you can count on getting ghalta and atarxis you won't need to have them in your deck will you? Just find another way to survive the first few rounds and get your hand going and who knows start a new meta. Stealing cards is fun but most are cookie cutter meta players or honestly not good at making decks, I seldom run into combos that I go dam I am stealing that.
Nice! I've been putting Villainous Wealth in a lot of my decks. But I have to say, a lot of people use a lot of bad cards 😂 but this deck seems like a blast
Maybe my game is hard mode compared to you guys. I always seem to play against good cards so this strategy would suit well. Looks like a blast with Yoko Oh-no
I go up against good cards more often now than I did even a few months ago, but there are still all too many games where I feel like I’m up against someone in bronze or silver based on the decks I face.
@Nalthazar might be only worth using on the pw that uses void mechanics. end up like veiliana or pma teferi you know what you might be facing soon as you see them.
It's interesting that they're creating a Standard card that uses legacy mechanics. Maybe it's a way to limit the power of these cards in Standard since they'll miss the legacy cards that pair well with them
Given that Mainloop spoiled a card with Devoid, and I got to spoil a card with Devoid, I think there is a good chance we will see more cards with the mechanic. Given the power creep of the game and the sets Webcore has made since taking over I think there is a good chance we will be seeing some real power come into the game with these recycled mechanics. Just a hunch.
Might be a little clunky of a build, but Maybe Thalia and the Gitrog Monster? The one from MOM Duo packs. Each time it attacks, you have to decrease a creature's reinforcement or destroy something, but as long as it is on the field then your opponent's creatures that ETB get disabled - kinda like our original Thalia from Eldritch Moon, or Authority of the Consuls. But that's kinda tangenting. There might be a mythic black Phyrexian or two that can do reinforcement drops with Activated gems, if wanting more and less control. Though not sure if you really need this going off multiple times in a turn unless ingesting can cause cascades, like if Greg is multiple colors. KIP probably is the best route for this card, but kinda curious if it works opposite of Leyline of the Guildpact's ability
Ingest can cause cascades, but it gets tricky unless your opponent is a tri color walker. I love this comment by the way. It is so well thought out and there are some good ideas.
@@Nalthazar Genuinely my least favourite mechanic, and I'm not enjoying the idea that its going to be in Standard forever 🤬. Great card though, those 10/10 tokens with SOOOOO many ways to reinforce creatures right now. Can't wait for the next spoilers and the set release!!
Yeah I really dislike Void gems too. I wound up cutting a rant at the end of the video about how much I dislike them. I don’t play the Eldrazi story missions because I just don’t want to deal with it. Hopefully it isn’t too oppressive. We have seen two cards with it so far, which means odds are good there will be more. Time will tell.
Can you show some decks with oko that arent all mythic and masterpiece. Many of us dont have all those fancy cards and oko might not be as good as one thinks or maybe he is.
ghalta for the mass beastie and gem changing, jolene to help keep gold tokens coming out death dealer to help keep creatures in check, sleep with fishes for the other ones, if you get enough fishes greg isnt good at sacrificing creatures unless it has cut your losses in the deck there are also a few other gold creatures well worth putting in.
I showed Torpor Orb in my Oko stream but I may just need to do a standalone showcase video of it, because it's kinda crazy what that card can do, similar to what you are showing off here
This is just silly lol. I also think that oko has my favorite mana gains for a dual color walker. If you arent able to match green or blue to get going he also is fine with black. Also no negatives is HUGE.
Flexibility wise probably not. White does get some really really nice tools. Power wise? Absolutely. Cracked ass planeswalker. The fact the a3 token is indestructible means it actually reads win the game.
@@Nalthazar you are forgetting that after you hit his 3rd ability you just use their own cars against them, getting to the 3rd ability is the hard part in some duels.
That is exactly why I got oko because I do take a lot of pleasure 9n beating players with their own cards 😁. Plus the fact I don't have tjem uet so I get to use them and find out their weaknesses and how to exploit them, win/win for me them ehh not so much.
Great breakdown! I don't have him yet but I can see what you mean when you say all 3 abilities are S+. I definitely like his 3rd better than Kasmina's. The more I think about it the more I'm psyched to pick him up. Again great video!
worth it and hell i would pay 100 for just him if they gave him like a 5% chance to learn the cards you steal from opponents, to keep from having to chase all the dam meta cards
wow. Bold claim, but after just playing with him a bit today, it's hard to argue against so far I agree, the mana gains are pretty weak, which is an easy fix with Sunken Citadel so really his mana base is +5/+5/+4
Honestly it was initially just intended as a bold take, but I really feel like he is right now. The combinations and power you can get with him are to me the best right now.
Guff boosts non simple supports so sadly no to the gold. His boost is also a shield boost and not a reinforcement boost so it wouldn’t work with our new outlaw slinger.
I don't think Another Round will be the best card of the set. It's a very strong win-more card, but it doesn't necessarily help you set up your board or stop your opponent from being able to do so, and I'm always gonna rate that function higher than a win-more card. That said, it's a very fun card i can't wait to own
That is very true. I feel like it will stop your opponent from setting up their board by defeating them quicker than they can do anything. It is both powerful and useful for event objectives. Realistically I think 5 boots might be my top card from the set, but I need to try them all out first to know for sure.
@@Nalthazar well yeah but in most cases you're trying to slow the game down in coalition events. It's definitely a late-game card and a great finisher though
Great video series on the new set. I'd love to see you do a video on the set after it comes out and tell us how it pans out. Maybe a "meta watch" video or something like that to talk about the trends for both standard and legacy. You had some content like that in your old videos that was great.
The set after this should be causing a standard rotation so covering what is rotating and how that changes our deckbuilding is something I want to cover.
