You're using the wrong refresh mode for color apps. Most apps are usable if you put it in a faster refresh mode. That's the point of Boox Super Refresh technology and the dedicated GPU.
You mentioned some apps are glitchy and delayed. Can you please let us know how Audio books on Libby play for you such as delayed and or glitchy? Thanks for any info.
I bought it. I hate it. It seems nobody is mentioning an important thing: everytime you turn the page, the screen takes a long time (thinking?) then it flashes and goes completely black, and only then does it show the next page. It is very very sloooooooooooow... You can't search inside the book or flip through it. It's a disaster. Maybe it is good for the trash bin. I can not recommend it. Do not buy one.
I’m so sorry you’re having that problem with your scribe. I have not experienced that with my scribe. I can turn the pages very quickly and at times I turn the page accidentally and I can just go back fast with no issues.
@@KeidyReyes When I just had 2 books on it it worked well. Now that I have close to 12 books in it, that "thing" dose not work as it was supposed to. Why? I do not know... maybe a curse?
Thanks for the detailed review. I enjoy your calming presence. I'm hoping the Scribe goes on sale on Prime Day. I just want one for reading since it's about the size of a hardcover book which is so immersive.
Great video by the way, and completely agree with you around the scribe, the software side around note taking really does let it down! With that said I do love my scribe and still use it for writing and reading everyday!
I'm thinking Amazon deliberately omitted page turn buttons hoping to get early adopters to shell out the money for the first version and then have them shell out more money for an upgraded version with page turn buttons. I've never seen anyone complain about page turn buttons. The buttons allow one handed operation. Without them you need to use your other hand to tap the screen over and over again. Maybe they can let you program the device to advance the page by hitting the screen on the opposite side. But to flip, the device to use it with the other hand would require adjusting the settings again. Me? I need the buttons.,
I have never had the device with the buttons so I can’t really comment on that but I don’t have trouble flipping pages. I can flip this device and the screen adjust very well. Thank you for sharing!
@@KeidyReyes I wouldn't expect anyone to have trouble turning a page on a Paperwhite. I'm must saying it is so much easier to do somon an Oasis. You hold the Oasis in such a way that your thumb naturally rests on the page turning button. Just lightly press and the page turns. When I had a Paperwhite I constantly had to swing my opposite hand around and tap on the screen. A small but constant annoyance. I mean, it would be a pain to have to tap the top of my head to use a remote to change the channel on my TV. Not a big deal, but not something that I'd choose to do if given the option to just change the channel without tapping the top of my head. The lack of buttons on the Paperwhite is a deal breaker. But again, if you are unaware of say, the joy of a roller coaster then you don't know enough to want to ride a roller coaster. Either way, I'd rather read a book on an Oasis or a Paperwhite that lug around the actual book. Funny thing. I used to read one book, at a time, only starting a different book after I finished the one I was reading. Now I find I'm reading thre different t books, say, a history book, a book of fiction, and a science book. I would read one book when I had to carry every book I was going to read on a plane. Now I can carry a thousand books on one device ... and so it is easy to read a chapter and then switch to a different book and read a chapter ... keeping me on my toes and piquing my interest in a wide variety of genres and subjects. Has his happened with you?
I enjoy my Scribe-it is a perfect e-reader, and the screen size makes it more enjoyable. I had the Note 3 (b/w) and 3C (color). I enjoy Boox software, but I eventually returned both devices. If I had to pick a boox Air device I would stick with the black and white version. They just pushed an update to Scribe , hopefully they push more features in the future. Also Boox just announced the Go Series lol too many devices
I agree the software is better on the boox but I still love my scribe for reading and I don’t regret buying it. I do hope they keep improving the scribe. I appreciate your comment 😊
Been looking at the NA3C for awhile, how does it play those light games? cant seem to find any videos of anyone playing wordscapes or candy crush. I mainly want it for reading, but a little light gaming intrigues me.
With the note air you can customize the pens to make them more unique. You can also add covers the your notebooks, add perfect shapes, add pictures, more notebook layouts, and layering. For the price of the scribe it would be nice to have more options but like I mentioned in the video I still love the device.
I have the note air 3c for 6 months now and I can highly recommend it. I also have the kobo libra 2 and a kindle basic which are for my reading purposes only for now having the note air 3c for my other productive features. Hoping for Amazon to catch up soon because they are lagging behind esp now that kobo already have color ebooks
I think it’s a great device. I’ll have to look into the kobo one and check it out. Thank you for sharing I appreciate you taking the time to leave and nice comment!!
Helpful video! I've been using my Scribe for a few months now and wish I had gone with something a little bit more feature complete like the Boox. Do you have any recommendations for a similar device in the same price range as the Scribe?
I’m so glad my video was helpful to you. I’ll have to do some research on a comparable device to the scribe. I really do wish they would update it and add more features. Hopefully it happens soon. Thank you for watching!
Great Video do you use your iPad for notetaking and do you notice that you’re using both still if you did use your iPad for notetaking. I like my iPad, but I was kind of thinking of some thing that would be just easier just to jot things down, it seems smaller.
In a world of cold people, you are a gem. From your brilliant smile to the sound of your voice and the gentle way you approach things. Things hurt in life. Stuff happens. In some ways you got a raw deal. You made good on it dig deeper. We are never strong because we were born on mountains, we become strong by clawing our way out of darkness. If you take the time. If you ask the questions...."How can I use, what I lived with, to make me stronger?" The answers are out there, we often miss them because we ask disempowering questions, like "why did this happen to me?" We will never know.... Dust off, look up...."where to next." Find that way that makes you deeper and stronger BECAUSE you are who you are. I PROMISE the answer is there. You need only look. Not fun...no..not fun...but real. It will be there when you look. I PROMISE. (I wen to law school, I don't promise s**** unless I am absolutely certain.) You are easy to watch, easy to listen to. I came because of some review you did, maybe the remarkable 2 I think and then it was a rabbit trail from there. You have a potential for more here. Not just because you are a woman or your voice, if you look at your videos....look at the views. Look at the one that got an oddly high number of views....Go with it. :) I admire that you have a channel and are working things out. Love to see your confidence growing. I wish you all the best. I was in USMC, an aircraft mechanic, own and owned businesses, went to law school....all a waste. If I could do it again, I might take a path like you are doing. Work on your presentation and flow, study the algorithms here put in the personal work , take people iwth you on the journey...show us how you get stronger. What did you do, how did you do it? Use this to grow a business and as a person. Make this your accountability. Make it push you to do more and BE more. You have sooooo much to work with..... You have every reason to be bold and caring and confident. You seem like an absolute gem and I wish you all the best. Since I am not into make up I will likely not be back, but nevertheless... it has been a pleasure and you are a captivating woman.
Thank you for taking your time to leave this wonderful comment! I appreciate your honesty and you being so kind to me. I won’t forget what you have said and hopefully in a few months you will come back and see some good changes happening. Take care! 💖
Hey, great review Keidy! I just did a 1 year review on this too and agree a lot with your findings. It's gotten so much better since it launched! Best, Vlad

You have what my edentate granny used to describe as "nature". By that she meant you are a person who has compassion, empathy and a kind heart. I have sent the link to your video to my friends and relatives for them to watch and learn. I want them to see a woman who has the heart of a lion. A woman who can teach us all so many lessons on how to cope with difficulties in our lives. I salute you as I'm sure so many other people will have too for causing me to reflect on how to cope with difficulties, setbacks and heartache. Thank you. Bravo! Best wishes. PS You are also a potent paean to pure pulchritude!
You are a very persuasive person! I've ordered my Kindle Scribe after watching and listening to your delightful description of its features, etc. Thank you so much! Best wishes.
Thank you for these recommendations. I've ordered mine. I must also say that you have a very soothing and calming, creamy voice. I could listen to you all day. Thank you again!

PS Have a restive, reflective and restorative Xmas.
My oasis' battery is going bad and replacement is impossible. So, I ordered the Scribe. $269 at the time of this note. Plus I got $15 off when I traded in my unused Kindle Paperwhite. So, it came in at a price point cheaper then the very nice Oasis.
I’m not sure why Amazon is holding off on the function of writing on our ebooks when kobo already allows it for one of their devices. I’m assuming they didn’t want to showcase this feature on the first generation. I imagine it will be on the next generation to add to the pricing of the device itself.
