I had just moved to Colorado. This song was one of the first I heard laying in my bed,. Looking out my bedroom window at Pikes Peak. I can close my eyes and still see that vision with this song playing. One of those. moments, gets etched in your mind forever. ❤
In the late 70's My wife and I had 2 Arabian horses. She named hers Wildfire after this song. I named mine Night Thunder. The "B" side to Wildfire. They were great horses and friends. We do cry when this song comes on the XM.

Oh I'm crying. This is my "go to" song when I've had enough but tears won't fall, because I refuse to cry..Hate it. MMM is not appreciated enough..or Dave Hoffner He is another I will listen to when I have had enough. The best on any kind of keys. What a talent. And they are all so smart to work together. MMM has played this song a thousand different ways, but this is my favorite.
One of the most beautiful songs ever written, and I've always particularly loved this version of it with the long piano intro. I've seen MMM live probably 20 times over the years, the last time just a couple years ago, and it's always a religious experience. His voice is as strong today as it was then - still pitch-perfect and clear as a bell.

Listening then and in 2024. This live version is so extraordinary. The vocals, the instrumental solos, the lyrics! Together they are magic and touch me deep inside. Can't help but shed a few tears by the end. Since discovering it, I listen to this video every day or so.
