Finally!!! Someone talking about driving without their jeep doors! I want to own one but always wanted to know what is it really like? So Thankyou! Great job👊🏾🛣
Hey I drive a 2002 PT Cruiser I bought for $1000 as a work vehicle! Great video! By the way the Cruiser is my 5th vehicle, but I do like the 5spd and 25.2 MPG on my 1 hour commute to work.
I got a new Mojave a couple months ago for 26% off MSRP. Love it, just ordered seat jackers. Just want a tad more leg support. I recommend a Bestop Sunrider. I've had a '15 Ram since new that made me love the ZF8.
I think you might have swayed my decision to get a Mojave over a Rubicon.. I really don't care to rock crawl. So there's no need to pay for those extra options. Great informative video. Nice jeep you have there too.
I have to find a manual diesel gladiator. When building your own on jeeps website, it will not let you select the diesel and manual so i dont think that is an option. I would get a manual diesel any day of the week.
The Gladiator is actually a very good rock crawler. The approach angle is the same as the Wrangler and with a lift and 35's and a hitch skid, it does just fine. It actually has some advantages with the long wheelbase, particularly with hill climbing. I've got a Wrangler and there wasn't anything in Moab I did that my brother's Gladiator couldn't do. Both were lifted with 35's. Nice video! Love the Mojave!
Regarding the headliner, for the ridiculous price jeep charges, you’d be better served to spend the same-ish $ on the hotheads headliner setup. Better quality and can cover the rear side windows for a bit extra. My rubicon jku came with the headliner option and while ok, it was waaaaaaay overpriced for what you get.
Very nice video! Thank you very much. Am the owner of a 2012 Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon. (Lived in Springville, Utah, so it had plenty of rock crawling---but not the exotic stuff--while living in Utah. I've been thinking of buying my wife a Gladiator. I was highly prone to wanting to buy her a Rubicon Gladiator, as I'm of the opinion that the Rubicon is "the best Wrangler." Your video, yes, this video I just watched, has convinced me that a Sport S package Gladiator, with appropriate options, of course, will work superbly and save us a good amount of money. We live on the Hawaiian Island of Molokai. Your video is THE video I'll show to my wife prior to flying the approximate 40 mile flight to Kahului, Maui next month for our twelfth anniversary. (We sold my wife's Grand Cherokee Overland diesel, a 2014 model, prior to moving from Springville to Molokai in March 2019. So it's now Debbie's "turn" to get the new car.) It'll be a Gladiator Sport S---thanks to your video! Thank you very much! Andy McKane, 20 October 2023, Maunaloa, Molokai, Hawaii.
3mo/4k miles is not really a "comprehensive review." While I realize that the JL is miles apart, in terms of reliability things can still go wrong beyond 4k miles. Yes, I also realize, this was 2 years ago.
Have you ever drove with doors off and top on ? Wondering if that would be best if both worlds . Sun protection and doors off you get that wind breez convertible feeling ?
Definitely have! You do get the sun protection but it’s still very loud and windy. Still no mirrors. Sun protection is about all keeping the roof on gets you.
Looks really good. I have a 04 mystic blue coupe 6sp. You're right about everything you said. Driving experience is amazing and raw, cannot get that in a modern car
You could take it off if you wanted but then your door won’t have any stopping points. They’re very heavy doors, and it would hit your cowl constantly.
We appreciate it! And I used to agree but after we drove the 392 Wrangler, which was cool, but the big power with big tire combination really made the “Jeep things” worse. It was extremely “wander-y”, tons of body roll. It made for a unique experience but not one I’d want to live with if I’m honest. I got out of it liking the V6 a little more
Hey Ross! We are alive, but have had life get in the way of these videos. Hope to make more soon. As for my Mojave, I sold it at 12,000 miles and I loved them all and I regret selling it. But unfortunately no further update.
@@changinggearsmedia damn sucks to hear. Subscribed for more vids. Since jeep isn’t gonna put the 392 into the gladiator. If you had to choose the next powertrain for new gladiator would you go 4XE or tti6 (hurricane)?
21 Mojave, my front Fox shocks are being replaced under warranty terrible creaking sound. Made in China. Fox shocks also require maintenance depending on usage. Disappointed, about a 8000 dollar claim in Canada. Well done review.
