In case you ever feel like playing II again I recommend a mod of the GBA called Mod of Balance that imo plays better than the PSP. The mod changed a lot about how the flawed leveling system works and the game flows so much better, there are many changes but the biggest one is that actions that are unlimited level slower and actions that are limited or cost mana level up faster, so you don't end up with an unbalanced character that feels dumb to play. Also weapons are tweaked so they don't become underpowered in the endgame in comparison to spells. The FF1 version has less changes but you can choose from 12 classes right from the start instead of doing the change job later, which is nice since the change job is tedious and after you do it the game kinda feels bland because it gets too easy, now it's actually challenging enough from start to finish. Also is the Vita III one you mentioned is the same as the PSP one? I can't find a Vita only version of it.
Defending the sega saturn is one of the stupidest things. Gamers go where the good stuff is and always have. Really end of story. Was there enjoyment to be had with it? Oh I'm sure. If that was the only thing some kid had...yeah. Is it underrated? No. If the system was truly awesome it would have been awesome and sold gangbusters.
I had all three starting with the Playstation but ended up keeping my N64 and Saturn just because of how much adored the these systems. That and I needed the money

Just found your video. Wii did have some nice exclusive gems, but they were buried beneath all the shovelware. Xenoblade originally released in Gamestop new at the standard MSRP and quickly increased in value when the game went out of print. It was at this point that this game started appearing in distros to every store. You could tell they were brand new with the shrinkwrap removed, so they could sell it at the inflated secondary market price instead of MSRP. Even as an employee I knew it was a really scummy move. I have the original Wii game sealed, but the value has gone down significantly because of the rereleaee on Wii and the port to Switch. But now Xenoblade Chronicles X on WiiU is the rare game 😂
$500 was expensive at the time it came out but a bargain nowadays. Wish I bought it when it launched but I was a college student and was focused on other things lol.
Id say the best way to describe the 7th gen is that it's a very love it or hate it generation. Everything postive about that gen can equally be seen as negative.
I just bought rex for 500 dollars and ray for only 380. What a freaking steal. I did it on a Japanese proxy site I use often and they both had damaged leg joints that I can glue back just fine. They are going to be display pieces anyways. But getting both for under 1000 dollars in todays market is just near impossible.

I just realized that bigass one won’t be the one I’m getting the one I’m getting is probably half the size possibly even a qtr but is only a bill. I will most definitely want that big one fo sho though goddamn that’s gorgeous. 🤘😊🖤
I have one that I’d like to sell. The gun works but the cockpit lights don’t work. Don’t know how to fix it without damaging it. I don’t know if anyone would buy it without the lights
I don't know if it's cheating but for me it has to be the seventh generation IF you consider that many of the best sixth generation games were remastered/rereleased on the seventh generation
I started with 0 because a friend wouldn't shut up about Majima XD Then I went in chronological order, then Dead Souls, both Judgments, then LAD, then Ishin came out finally, and now I just go for everything as they are released. Playing 0 before Kiwami really paid off because you get so much background for Nishiki. Hoping 3 will get Kiwami'd someday. More fluid combat and a bit of extra story (perhaps based on what we have in online) could really push it to the next level.
Going to have to argue against the PSP version of FF1. It was built upon the easy mode of the PS1 release. The PS1 version is kind of the best, seeing as it has the original difficulty and magic system, but with most of the bugs fixed.
Does he come with a stand? Does he have a oeg hole in his backpack or under his backpack (as in, does his backpack come off?) to plug in a peg? I want to use the RIO:bone cape with this version if at all possible.
PC was better than both. Hell, my PowerMac 6100 with an ATI rage was superior. Just look -- the N64 was better than the PS1. And like a year after the N64 came out, UltraHLE emulator came out, which ran on a rather low spec machine (P2 233mhz, 32 meg ram).
Super happy to see you give Xenoblade a try. Easily one of the best "modern" Nintendo games and JRPGs. Personally, Mario Wonder is my GOTY. Just loved that to pieces. Pikmin 4 being a close second.
Thank you very much Mike, its true all of the handhelds ever released the PSP truly was ahead of its time. I dont really even care about the Steam deck, this handheld was released on a time when developers truly cared, also i love your video because it truly lightens what games a PSP owner should look for. Its a great insight for what games gamers should look for. I myself have bought 10 games. But after JB-ing it the PSP truly showed its full potential. I used to think the GBA was the best handheld but the PSP simply is the best handheld ever created. Thank you for this insight of video. All hail the PSP!!!
Yo Mike, did you ever end up getting that PS4 Steelbook case for FFX/FFX-2 I told you about? You mentioned being interested like a year ago, just wanted to know if you ended up getting it lol. Also, XVI is AMAZING. The story is insanely good. Yeah, battle system is completely different. But the STORY.
It might seem too soon to be saying this, but I think the PS4/Switch is the best combo in gaming history. When the dust settles, a lot more poeple will be looking at the 8th gen as the best of all time.
Hmmm… the Switch for sure, and PS4 is great, but as a gen in its entirety? I’m not sure yet. 8th gen started with the TREMENDOUS sales failure of the Wii U, despite it actually having some pretty good titles, and Xbox really lost their footing and identity with the Xbox one. PS4 sure is great, and would definitely be up there for best consoles though, same for Switch, but I’d have to consider it as a whole and ruminate on it for a while before I consider the 8th gen one of the greatest. I understand what you're saying, and that's why I generally prefer to look at it from which consoles are my favourite more than generations as a whole, which for me is much more nebulous and subjective. By the way, now that the Switch is approaching its retirement, maybe you could think about a video with the best console libraries of all time. Keep up the good work!
