In My Most Humble opinion , without a doubt this is my personal favorite of this Masterpiece as one commenter said! But i must say this is Hands Down one of The Best Live songs EVER to me within a top 5 of all time . Thanks to Dave and the Whole Crew
Discovering this in my 50s another having listened to DMB since college. This hits my soul. I am seeing them 3 times in July. I’m so hoping for any version of Grey street
Not a single comment in 9 yrs!!! I’ll just say that I love this version. He must have played it on a Martin and I love the extra slapping Stefan does on the bass!!❤
Been listening to Stand Up since last Friday & KNOW THAT I KNOW, JOYRIDE IS NOT ON MY STAND UP CD¿? 😢 Trying to find what CD I can find Joyride on, cuz i NEED to purchase it!! JUST heard it @Gorge N1!! LuViT & LuvYa's
Such a great song. And it was initially written about the greed and hustle and loneliness after the man got their cut. Would love to hear them rip out these old lyrics one day
Reflecting on those days in the Shenandoah Valley, whether by the river at Zollman's or at Trax in Charlottesville, it felt like being in an incubator of musical wonder. The road-trip itself felt almost like a spiritual journey, surrounded by loveable rogues, creating cherished memories. I'm grateful to have been at the right place and time in my life, especially during my final term at Washington and Lee. It was like living in a utopia, and Dave Matthews' band played an immense role in making it all so special. Huxley's words rang true, but there was something even more unique about Dave. His presence, vibe, intensity, and skill were extraordinary, making him a true artist. He seemed to live in the moment, not caring about the future, embracing each performance with everything he needed. Those moments were truly magical, and I'll forever cherish the impact he had on my musical journey. 39:17

I have this on CD burned off internet from 20 years ago and it skips all over the place but still listen to it sometimes so finding this recording is amazing. Dave and Tim before they're famous is priceless.
Thank you for this~loving Warehouse aka "Anytime We Can Stop." I guess this was in Carter's basement/garage when Carter, Roi and Boyd all lived on the same street! I think Carter later moved in with Dave in his Mom's basement! #dmbfamily
I had a Demo from someone who knew someone back in late '93? I lost it in a move! It took me 4yrs to "remember that guy with the good band's name." Crazy.
