How might this country work for someone from Canada with their own motorhome? Is it legal to live in an RV in Guatemala? If so, are there designated and affordable RV parks in which to reside?
Yeah on the depression call and things going to hell in a handbasket in North America and all that that would be incorrect. Inflation has been running higher than it has in a long time and some people are disappointed with that. But things are generally going pretty well the two candidates for presidency or both deeply flawed and so that's not any good but it's largely a puppet show anyway so I suppose in the end it really doesn't matter. My personal opinion is when you get around the Doom people and the world's going to end and cold and all that kind of stuff you really running around with a group of people that are not the type of people you should be listening to for advice about the future but that's just my two cents you know we all have to make our own decisions. Enjoy your video good luck to you
I dont know, i have never traveled with that much silver. I think you may have trouble from the US side, but i have experience mostly in gold and have never had an issue. Good luck
Hello, thanks for this. Is this also considered a resident permit? Can you come and go in Cambodia freely within that year without needing a re-entry permit to go back? Thanks and more power to your vlog!
Hi Jhonny, i have a question if i bring a bullion of gold worth like 12k from Nicaragua do i report that to TSA as a personal or for business matter what did you recomend?
Hey Johnny ! You think you will eventually be back in Guatemala ? We move to Xela in January ( from Nicaragua ). We are very excited ! Why are we moving there ? Cool weather- this is a must for us. Fairly safe Decent hospitals Low cost of living We here the people are friendly Seems to check all our boxes.
What do you think about everything that's happening right now in 2023 October. The unrest and uprising in the cities and blocking the roads and streets in the capital city, it's interesting they claim it's democracy and obviously they don't know what Democracy is. If they were in democracy they would have been arrested for blocking roads and taking the nation to a standstill.
the electric still goes off every few weeks. i think they shut the water of in different parts of town. The water is never on all day. My internet i have been getting around 20 mpbs. supposed to be a lot faster but i get 20 pretty steady. I have not made it back to xela yet but i have been to quiche several times
I hate to say it boots on the ground and theres an app that has rooms and apartments for rent i just forget the name but they are cheap and options all over the city
You miss my biggest point. The problem is not being poor, but adapting to the reality of getting poor. Imagine the future in CR as they now got under pressure from IMF and EU. I hear they might install taxes on expats (30% and 15%). Nica is off the beaten pass as the president is "difficult for westerners", which a libertarian should like. We are in times of huge change and I think one better is with people who know to live with less. Do not answer as I do not goggle. Nice vid btw.
I seen one of your short videos from Panajachel. I lived for 4 years between 1994-1998 across the lake in San Pedro la Laguna. I'm ready to pull the plug here in the U.S. and head to Cambodia (Siem Reap).
I also lived on the north coast of Honduras for 16 years in a town named Tela. Pretty hot there, I imagine about the same as Siem Reap. I'm not using any a/c this summer in the U.S. so I'll be acclimated when I make the move to Cambodia.😅
Hey Jhonny ! We are still in Nicaragua until February then heading to Guatemala. Curious about a couple things…..here you get 90 days when you enter and then get three 30 day extensions, for a total of 6 months….can we get 6 months in Guatemala without a border run ? And there isn’t lots of info on Xela. We love cool weather, speak Spanish, and we can’t seem to find a downside to Xela. Seems relatively safe, looks beautiful. Any downsides we are missing ? Is there a good hospital ? Can you buy into their healthcare if you get residency ? Thanks ! Hope you enjoy Cambodia !
@@jhonnyfromme2109 The one time extension….does that give us another 90 days ? I guess we can always run over to San Cristobal de las Casas for a while and come back, if we want more time. Thx very much !
time Ferris never himself practiced what he preached, but many people are living a digital nomad lifestyle and traveling on Bitcoin. and those who got filthy rich have seriously gone stateless and borderless on second passports of islands like Cayman and el salvador.
ditto on the worry of dictatorships in all of the eastern nations_for they all seem to mimic north korea & china on various levels like when i see singapore_that level of dystopian authoritarianism might as well be china & some of the monarchies seem very easy to bribe_thus im concerned about future forced mandates tied to brics digital currency to do anything im hoping to get some riel_some house_some farm food_some brics for bill paying but mostly staying out of it_see what else is a solid allocation 📊
