I don’t really count frames, because it can vary a lot between cuts. A cut can be a still image and that’s only 1 drawing, or it can be action packed with lots of drawings. Hope that helps!
Is this your usual process when working on anime, or did you just to try use your process on Blender? Of so what are the differences you find software-wise? I'm practicing anime style animation on TVPaint, but honestly I'd prefer to use only one program if possible...
This is not the process I use for anime, but mainly because they give me directions, specific materials, I deliver a certain way for the rest of the crew, etc. I think you could use Blender since the essential tools are the same, it can also be super personalized, so you could tune it for 2D animation even more. Maybe I’ll experiment with that in the future… “blender for anime pipeline purposes” or something like that :)
@marianarira Thank you for ur reply! That would be a very cool series I'd eagerly watch! I'd seen some process videos from Studio Grosso and the 2D/3D Blender process is quite amazing. I've been digging the software in the past weeks and it's true that it's very customizable.
@@marianarira YOO! I’ve seen clips of it I might watch it, your work is amazing, one last question, I rly wanna get into animating but idk what program to use, what program do you use or suggest for beginners
I find the reason that "points fly into the air" 5:00 (for me) is that when I am using the Surface stroke placement option while drawing using grease pencil, it thinks that the wire outline for lights and empty objects are a surface they need to project the stroke onto. I like to disable "Extras" in the Viewport overlay panel while drawing.
The Video: 👹☠️🤜🤛💢❤️🔥🔥🪄🔮🤯 The Music: 🏝😎 You got skills btw, I want to hang around you and absorb your skills through social osmosis lol. Awesome illustrations, great moment to moment and absolutely gorgeous, super-competent animation.
Thank you for your comment! That reel got me my first anime gig :D Speaking of skills and osmosis, I plan to start a community somewhere or something similar haha so stay tuned!
I don’t know what it could be, but it sounds like previewing the strokes in real-time (while you’re drawing) may require computer power that you don’t have? Check if your specs are the best for blender and grease pencil, also you could change some settings to help it, using gpu instead of cpu etc, etc. maybe in a blender forum someone asked the same question too! Good luck!
Thank you for sharing this tutorial and explaining your design process! I’ve dabbled into the grease pencil tool but been intimidated by it, and maybe it’s because I felt like I was never doing it the “right way”, which translates to overthinking. I’ll have to try some of these methods out now.
This is incredible!!!!!❤❤❤❤❤ i love the colors and how the pupil shrinks! I'm super eager to see what you make next! Also i had no idea about the details of the noise modifier!!! That'll be soo useful to know!!! Thanks so much!!! 🎉❤❤❤
