Would you recommend using this on a cutting? An umbrella fell on my young achacha tree and broke a branch, I’m trying to see if the broken branch will root with some rooting hormones and I was considering adding myco+… but I actually have no idea what I’m doing 😬

garcinia will not take long time garcinia grower even if it did the entire genus is tap root centric do some more research before even considering propagation aides regarding species specific propagation viability. this is also a soil zone growth cofactor product not a rooting hormone not even remotely similar products. I am not posting this to hurt your ego I am widely considered one of the best growers in the world in a number of spheres my comment is for the others who will read your comment and attempt to clone their achachirus or purple mangosteens. even if you could root it the plant's root system is literally one big tap root why grow a crippled dud of a plant? just get viable seed and grow them out they come true to seed regarding fruit quality there is no genetic variability to deal with and they are not difficult to germinate it is just slow.

All forms of mycorrhizal (both endo, ecto) are parasitic. They cause a fungal infection into the root system of many plants, plants can't really stop it. However it is beneficial, the fungi are capable of breaking down stuff the plant can't, some it will convert into forms the plant can. This causes the plant to grow larger, while the fungie take sugars from the plant to live. Always found beneficial parasites interesting, it has no intentions on helping the plant, just as we get sick, or get infections same thing is happening to the plants. However in the end it helps both survive oddly enough, not really the intention, the plant needs food it can absorb, and fungie needs a host for it to feed on.

Thanks for review, what exactly is the plasma setting is it like ionic and can you turn it off
@Rivenrock
@Rivenrock Год назад
It can be turned off. There's a button below the blue light of the Plasma indicator, and that turns it off. It also is automatically off when the machine is set to 'sleep' or 'auto' mode. Now, as to what it is..... I don't know. I read about ions and I had some chemistry classes.... I can smell and almost 'taste' something in the air with them on (if I think about it). Something reminds me of the air after a rain. So I like it, but then again, it might be my imagination. But I don't think it does anything to the cleanliness of the air.
@ivermec-tin666
@ivermec-tin666 Год назад
Plasmawave is some sort of wonky implementation of ozone generation inside of the unit. The function of an ionizer is to cause the particulates in the air to stick together (by positively charging them) and to attach to things like the filter medium rather than merrily passing through and out the exhaust port. This air purifier passed the CARB test, so it only emits a very very small trace of ozone (or ionized particles which escape the housing), undetectible with the sort of air quality sensor that normies can afford. Still, some people are highly sensitive to ozone. Ozone is highly reactive, and yes that has the smell of the air after a heavy rain shower, and more strongly after a lightning storm. People with multiple chemical sensitivity or severely impaired lung function will want to turn the Plasmawave feature off.

yes, it's important to get them into the ground and watered in October. I usually put it off until we've had our first rains, so very often they miss out of two or even three months of growth in the autumn. That helps them a lot.... and again this year I didn't get them in until December! I am a horrible procrastinator. There's a further tip that gets them as big as softballs! I should do a video on that, but it'll take two years of NOT PROCRASTINATING to do it.

Awesome! How about some sulfuric acid?
@Rivenrock
@Rivenrock Год назад
That works. It sounds worse than it is I guess, because the sulfur turns into sulfuric acid as it gets broken down by bacteria. And it is effective, and very fast because the liquid gets right to it! I prefer to do it slow, but sometimes one must make drastic changes.

If you can put down a really heavy thick mulch that blocks out the sun and heat, and you give it some water beforehand and let things cool down, I think now would be a good time as it might give you taters by October. The secret is that thick mulch cooling the soil down.

Thank you so much for responding! So should I just go to lowes and buy powdered sulfur and apply right now? Do I need to mix it with anything or just sprinkle directly in soil? Then in the fall check again and reapply if necessary? Is that all I will need? We bought extra bales of peat moss… doesn’t seem to do much, should I return those and just stick routinely to amending with powdered sulfur 2 x per year to reach the right ph? Is their a brand you recommend? Thank you for your reassurance 😍 Last thing, when you say year 3 and 4 do you mean the entire age of the plant or the age form when I planted that bare root in the ground? So wondering if I should pinch of any flowers and berries in the future ( hoping I actually get some next year with amendments!)
@Rivenrock
@Rivenrock 2 года назад
Oh, I'd hold onto the peat moss. I have a suspicion getting garden materials will be come more challenging as more people turn to gardening. I like peat moss in general, but I don't think it 'up and turns the soil acidic' like a lot of people say. But most organic material as it decomposes, the bacterial will release acids that acidify, so in time it may help add to the acidity. And don't overdo the sulfur, it changes things very slowly over a half year or more. I like the powdered types, they are finer and the bacteria can work them through faster (it's the bacteria doing the work). I also think the 'prilled' sulfur, in little tabs is good as it is slow release and helps stabilize the soil PH at a lower PH. And age is indeed about the age of the plant, not how long since transplanting. For a couple of years it's good to remove the flowers, the third year, keep a few trusses maybe, the fourth year more, and after that should be good to harvest as long as it grows strong. One thing, most plants are durable except to drought and overheat and frost. So the main thing now, esp with the heat, is keep it watered well enough, and you too! Have fun in the garden, but don't work in the heat too long! Have a good day! Have a GREAT garden!

Wow! I am desperately searching for how to fix my soil… I just planted 11 blueberry bushes in my backyard without any amending. I am nervous about the state of the world and have a large family to feed so I wanted to get these in the ground asap. They are 3 year bare roots plants. The lady at the farm who sold them to me said I didn’t need to amend at all as they are resilient and just to add a 50/50 blend of peat moss and compost. My soil before was 7. It has been 2 months and while the plants look very healthy only 1 plant has given me 3 blueberries. I knew something wasn’t right so I tested the soil last night and the peat moss did nothing! So I am still sitting at 7. Do I have any hope ?! Is my investment down the drain?! This video gives me encouragement but I am still overwhelmed with what to do first and how often to apply right now and then once achieved the right PH how often to I apply. If it’s possible could you please advise me on a plan on what to do and exactly what product to use? I really need advisement and of all the stuff I have watched your content has proof it works!!! Thank you so much for your wisdom!
@Rivenrock
@Rivenrock 2 года назад
Oh, those berries will be fine! But adding some sulfur to the soil will slowly bring it to the PH they'll do better in. A powdered sulfur will work faster and this time of year when the soil is warm the biology of the soil will work on the sulfur and release the acids that turn the soil acidic. You might consider snipping the flower trusses of those berry plants the first couple of years also. Most fruits last for years and years, and they need some time to gain some size and internal and root volume so they can support berries. So give them a couple years, the third year let a few berries develop, more the fourth and after that it's 'balls to the wall!' (basketballs or something I think that means). For faster berries consider raspberries and blackberries and strawberries. If it's the right variety you can sometimes get fruit the first year, and certainly the second! The soil mix they gave you sounds like it's good for that. The berry plants will be happier when the soil PH comes down a bit though. But if you apply sulfur this summer it should be showing a big change by fall. Then in fall test and see if you should add just a bit more. I suspect I'll have to add some to my soil twice a year. And a mulch is always a good idea or almost any plant. And blueberries are odd in that you can have the mulch up around the stems. Most plants don't like that. I still work a tiny bit to pull it back, but I don't stress over it. They like such woodsy clumpy organic materials soil, very odd plant. But when you consider the natural habitat with tilly bogs, stuff washing up around them at high tides or floods before receding. I like the combination of powdered sulfur because the fine particles will be worked on faster, and then the prilled kind (little pill form), they take some time to break down, so won't give fast results, more like over a half year they start.... but they'll also have some longer-lasting residual effects. Make sure to apply according to the label. You don't want to put so much down that it overdoes it. And it can takes months and months before you even really get a blip on the PH meter that it's changing. So it's easy to get anxious and keep adding more and then it can't be reversed other than by counteracting it with limestone. LOL. Thanks for writing!

@@krystalbohaker6168 There is a video I made about building blueberry soil. And at minute 2:52 is some screen shots of the sulfur I've used. Lowe's would have it also. Ask for Azalea and Rhododendron soil acidifier. They have the same cultural requirements as blueberries. The peat moss might have some acidifying effect as it decomposes, and I really like it as a soil conditioner for almost anything I plant, so if you intend to expand the garden I'd hang onto them. I also suspect there'll be a rush on garden supplies, so it may be hard to get in a few months. I think some sulfur now and then check in fall and probably you'll see some change by then, closer to 6 maybe. Then add some more once you know it's not gone too far down.... and it may be a twice a year thing for you as the base minerals and irrigation water will try to alkalinize it again. But I suspect sulfur is all you'll need :-) The years to harvest I calculate on time from planting in your spot. Like with trees for fruit, they usually are four or five years before the first fruits are allowed to set. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-nbJNcXj6QI8.html
