Hello doctor. Im a 43 year old male who is experiencing hair thinning since turning 40 with low hair loss in the family. My total testosterone is 1100 which is very high for my age and i have checked for tumors and dont have any. Also my shbg is very high. I have low energy too. What would you recommend for me? Im considering taking .5 finasteride fearing that my high t is leading to a dht sensitivity at my age.
Nel 2024 ancora ci sono dottori che scusano gli effetti devastanti della finasteride. Incredibile. Ho letto i primi effetti devastanti nel lontano 2004 in Italia , c'e' pure chi si e' suicidato. Avanti cosi' . Poveri ragazzi.
Sir, if a 25 years old man with grade 2 androgenic/ heredity hairloss, undergoes a good hair transplant procedure and takes the all the possible maintenance procedures, diet, medicines, lifestyle... regardless of the expense, BUT " NOT THE FINASTERIDE / DUT" ! Can he keep the hair long enough for 20+ years ? ( His body just cant tolerate finasteride dutasteride ) Will that hair survive ? As those follicles would be unbotherable by DHT. Please explain the doubt properly if possible 🙏🏼
Hi doctor. we called 31 march this year and you recommended me to keep going and it will likely come back. so i was off fin 5weeks after using it from sep 2022 to nov 2023 nov i tapered it down few weeks and jan i started slowly again. since then i have get very oily hair and dramatic hair thinning and hairloss everywhere sides back and top excess sebum on scalp also had pain and pimpless have seen countless docs they say there is not anything abnormal in scalp. i would estimate losing 70 percent of my hair in just 5.5months i went to testosterone test dont have previous tests done but my tests was free test: 498pmol/l. shgb:59 and total testosterone above range: 41nmol/l - 1185 ng/dl but docs said its fine however this hairloss and greasy hair is so abnormal that i dont know what to do forehead maiby sometimes oily not sure. what should i do now

Thanks for the video doc! If you have A LOT of donor hairs (7000+) and transplant them all for pretty much complete coverage, can you get away with no finasteride? It looks like new treatments like verteporfin can give a boost to the number of donors available so I'm curious.
Depends upon your age and quality of hairs as well. A boost is not required for a hair transplant. Only DHT levels need to be under control if baldness is progressive.

Dr kya peptide serum jo plant based dht blocker ke sath ata hai kya vo grade 2-3 ke baldness mein effective hai ya fir finastride? Mere dermat ne prescribe kiya hai mujhe aur continuously 2 saal tak use krne ko kaha hai, lekin mujhe iske efficacy pe doubt hai, kya ye effective bhi hai ya waste of money, time and hair?
Hello Doc.. I have a doubt, please clarify it.. I have male pattern baldness,If i take 2.5mg minoxidil orally along with applying minoxidil 5% + finesteride topically in the bald patches of my hair for 3 months, then is there any consequences. I mean to say is there any side-effects or Any adverse effects ?
Have you had any experience in dealing with gynecomastia induced by finasteride? I was on 1 mg every other day for 3.5 months and then switched to 1 mg every day for about 2 weeks. Shortly thereafter, I started noticing that my left chest was larger than my right one, and indeed, my doctor later confirmed that I had the beginnings of unilateral gynecomastia. (I could not tell you whether my left chest was normal before upping the dosage, unfortunately). I really want to get back on oral finasteride, but obviously, I want to avoid developing gyno.
@@hairtransplantinindia I have no idea. It's not something we measured. Unless testosterone and estrogen levels are included on standard blood tests done when one routinely visits the doctor, I don't think I've ever even had those levels measured. I've been off finasteride for 2 weeks now. Do you think I should get my testosterone and estrogen levels checked?
