I got tired of wasting money on the cheaper versions that barely last a year & paid up for this unit. It's been about a year now & I'm loving it. I paid around $500 with tax on Amazon during a "Lightening Sale". Love the 5 year warranty & the build quality is top notch, all metal & easy service access if needed. Well worth the extra money for a quality unit.
Thanks for the Video. Does anyone have any idea why the A/C manufacturers do NOT put a drain plug or drain hole to prevent A/C MOLD and sickness to people?
I am trying to figure out the width of the frame without wheel attached or the width of the frame at the top of the generator, do you by chance have that dimension?
I am baffled. Where's the rest of the video? I wanted to see if it is as god-awful noisy as some reviewers say. It actually gets awful reviews so I wanted to see if there was a chance this thing could still be usable, as it can be had for $96 new on ebay July 19 2024.
You can do the same thing with your phone right? Just install internet radio and listen, so why do we need separate internet radio device? On fm/am i understand...you can use it when you dont have wifi...but this?... i think is useless
Actually if you put the long extension tubes in the spaces down by wheels (standing upward), the hose will go around the shop vac and those clips on top hold it. Lol, you probably already know that by now though😂. It was just encase you didn't.
these things suck. you will have to change the filter every three months whether it needs it or not. I have changed mine three times and now i have to do it again. such a sham. i reccomend the winex 5500,it's only twenty dollars more and has a fan like loud speaker. i have two of them. they blow this thing out of the water
I had the continuous hose connected and that was work good but now it just fills the but the hose is still connected but now the bucket fills with water do you know how to trouble shoot this?
your house is probably plugging up remove the hose push some pipe cleaners into the machine to clean the trash/crud out then hook the hose up to your outside water faucet and clean it out
Panel design is unimpressive #1 It's a very flimsy frame that looks like it's ready to snap taking it out of the box let alone putting in place #2 The panels have numbers with the letter R on one and L on the other. One would assume when facing the unit from the inside that one with the R would go on the right side and of course the one with the L will go on the other side. WRONG! #3 The piece of the panel frame could easily have been made where the screws are more accessible without the possibility of ruining the curtains. #4 The same piece of the panel frame that is attached to the unit is L-shaped. When applying pressure on the screw it twists making the screw miss the hole. A C channel would eliminate this. And last but not least It's nice when the one part that attaches to pre-drilled holes lines up with said holes. Come on man! So out of 11 screws to attach the upper guide into side panels 8 are difficult. I haven't installed it yet, just got it ready. I'm not confident with the brackets that go on the bottom of the window to keep the unit in place. And I can obviously see that the curtains aren't going to do anything for insulation. I see there are plenty kits out there that can be purchased. I think I'll go my own way with 2-in closed cell panels and reflective insulation wrap in combination plus proper sealant around perimeters to improve both insulation performance as well as reduce sound from the compressor outside (that's my theory at least) From an engineer who has worked hands on in construction for 30 years. And what is THE deal with the wood pallet piece?
June 2024 Update: This unit has stopped draining and as a result moisture builds up on the coils and ices up. The auto defrost feature no longer seems to be working. If you purchase this model make sure that works before the 1 year warranty expires.
You made a wise choice. I had to put that homelabs model back to work. My other frigid air model started freezing up. This was literally right after I uploaded a review of it!
My mini split runs all year long at 70 degrees in there. I noticed the humidity was at 82 percent a few days ago. Maybe this just happens during the hot days / summer. I put it on dry instead of AC and that brought the humidity down to 45-58 (which is great), but the temperature down to 55 Fahrenheit as well. I’m hoping I can put the AC back on to 70 and let the dehumidifier run non stop. I’m praying it works.
I need Help. I hope u can. Or anyone please. My son is highly allergic to my GF's Huskies. Will this or any filter help my son be able ti be in the same house with them? Even if he isn't always in contact with them. Just in the same house?
Something I found out recently was when you use the exchange 20# bottles of propane, those companies only fill their bottles with 3.5 Gallons of propane, that’s all companies! I started taking my 20# propane bottles to my local Ace Hardware and they fill my bottles with 4.6 gallons! Exchange cost here in the Houston Texas area is $22.99 Per. 20# bottle while a refill at Ace Hardware was $16.00 per. fill👍 You’ll start getting longer run times since you’ll be getting more fuel for less cost! That’s a win win👍
Thanks for the video- The DAB works in Europe and I want to get this radio for when I visit. Where did you get the 23D version? In the US they usually only sell the ones that get FM or Internet but not DAB or DAB+
