I make covers of my favourite video game tunes, and write original music for video games!
Some projects I've worked on include: -Echoes of Karma -MAELSTRÖM LEGACY: The Tesla Mystery -Pikmin: New Fortune
I also take commissions for Super Smash Bros.-style remixes and victory fanfares. If you'd like to commission one, fill out this form: forms.gle/EZPYGixxLoehBKNGA
I really like your remix style and how even the little details in a song are intricate references. I really hope you make a remix of "The Final Push" from Kirby Star Allies. The way that song sounds would suit your style well due to how many references that could be added.
The stable music and rito village music is definitely memorable. Oh yeah and kass theme. Also it makes the places which do have proper music much more meaningful. Oh yeah and this game is way more about the nature, like the ambient sounds in this game or so much more well developed in this game. Like the sound design in general in this game is so much better than all past Zelda game.
While I do agree that there are good pieces and subtle composition in Breath of the Wild, my issue with the soundtrack has more to do with how it handles its more classical Zelda elements. There are multiple boss battles in this game, but besides the final Calamity Ganon fight with the Hyrule Castle theme leading up to it, none really leave much of an impression. I think it is a problem when the boarding of Vah Naboris music theme is more memorable than the actual dungeon theme and boss theme, yet you only hear that piece for about a minute or so and then you never hear it again. Some of the best pieces you barely get to hear throughout most of the game, so the standout moments are pretty few and far between. Just because there are elements to appreciate about the soundtrack doesn't mean that it is flawless in its execution, especially when we have 3 decades of games prior to compare and contrast with. Even the older Zelda games had a lot of subtlety built into the compositions and used silence effectively throughout each game, so it isn't just a unique element to Breath of the Wild, just more emphasised due to it changing the approach in how to compose music. The DLC at least rectified some of that with Monk Maz Koshia having an absolute banger of a boss theme. Tears of the Kingdom also fixed most of my most glaring issues with Breath of the Wild's soundtrack by having the dungeons and boss fights have actual melodies and bombastic moments while giving us those more quiet and ambient moments that Breath of the Wild did well. The sequel struck a better balance the way I see it.
Hey I was wondering if I could use this in my fan game? It's in a region that's the southwest US and the Gulf of Mexico. All credits to you and the original. I just don't want to step on any toes
something i only noticed after replaying octoexpansion is that the tune in the metro changes a bit depending on where you are aswell as the sea people that enter the metro
After 7 years of wanting to play this game, I finally got it a few days ago. I'm enthralled by it. The music is wonderful and works very well, my favorites so far are the horse stable theme and the fairy fountain theme
I think this is the song that made me love video game music. 5 year old me, for as much as i sucked, would always play Bowser in the Dark World just to hear this one and I’d just run around while Bowser was trying to attack me just vibing.
I love you so much for making this! Really was a missed opportunity that Pac-Man World wasn't represented in Smash. Glad people still remember Pac-Man World 2.
10:18 Breath of the Wild truly has some of the most unique sound-scapes from any videogame ever. I can just listen to the gameplay, without any visuals, and I immediately know that it's breath of the wild. Every single little action, from footsteps to button presses, the tensing of a bow or the brandishing of a weapon, to even the sounds of the UI and the sheikah slate, it's all super unique and instantly recognizable. It truly has an incredible sound identity that's difficult for any other game to match.
I'm turning 23 soon. Having to worry about bills, jobs, credit scores, aging parents...Hearing this brings me back to the days when I was just a 13 year old kid playing flash games with my friends all day on the computer...Not a care in the world. I am feeling such a bittersweet beautiful nostalgia. What an amazing arrangement. Thank you <3
